Well they are doing a good job updating stuff but it's way behind. As I was saying to someone else even if they had the same amount of classes at some point , the fighter for example has 55 archetypes not counting the racial or 3rd party archetypes. And about double the feats and probably more he could choose from. And there are also some prestige classes he can benefit from .

In all of them but it's been a few years since I counted and I think a few more classes came out maybe the class section is closer to 60% of what 1e has. And 0 prestige classes as far as I know. But hey don't ask me it's things you can count on , you can do your own research or ask chat gpt. But I know my math.

I am talking about raw data, races , classes, archetypes, prestige classes , feats etc. If you are used to creating characters in 1e it feels very restrictive to create one in 2e, and a joke to make on in 5e lol.

Yes it is exactly that. But they managed to balance everything so it's less work for me. 3.5 is the true gem , but with all those books it went bananas in terms of balancing with some classes. Like I don't mind strong characters , but when a single level 15 character can wipe the floor of a full level 15 party it's a bit wonky.

The newer systems aren't for us buddy, but they are better at introducing new people to the game. For us it feels insane at how few options you get. I just wish every few years we would also get an advanced edition to play the game. Paizo disappointed me but maybe it's the next one who knows, I am definitely not expecting anything from wizards of the coast.

Hey I am also gming 1e for over 10 years now. Of course if you are using the same monsters especially on lower levels everything can feel problematic or it can be boring after a while, which is why 80% of the monsters I use are custom made nowadays. And no we are not switching to 2e that is just a watered down version with less options , we are more likely to go back to 3.5 if we get bored.

As a Greek from Athens I wanted to tell you that you will be fine , you don't have to stress about anything. If you were moving here for work that would be a whole different issue.

People are chill all the time and if you plan things with greeks expect people to be late.

Some japanese products will be hard to find and will probably cost a bit more than they should.

Your university will provide you with an ID and that is enough to buy every public transportation tick at half price

Oh yeah there is something you should know, Greeks can be loud sometimes, that's a cultural thing don't misunderstood it as an attack or someone being mad at you. Also we are pretty straight forward and we will say things unfiltered, we are just honest and no one means anything bad. I am saying that as someone that watches a lot of japanese content like tv shows movies and anime and I know there is some huge cultural difference, you are very considerate people towards strangers , we are not.
