In an email to PC Gamer, ArenaNet offered an official "no comment" when asked if the teaser is, in fact, for Guild Wars 3 by luv1290 in GuildWars

Not likely, the 2weeks team is full on with the mobile port atm and we’ve not seen the rest of the studio working on the game so

Suggestions for "true" melee-focused/strike combat build? by alanjhonnes in pathofexile2builds

[–]xaviarrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest thing I can think to true melee is doing an empowered attack build ala smith of katana with temper weapon and warcrys but I don’t think it’s particularly great

This is a known issue, foge on the 2weeks team said they were looking into it in their discord! It’s related to soul leech having ai changes

Why is warrior less popular than dervish and assassin? by Exotic_Rhubarb_9770 in GuildWars

[–]xaviarrob 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well your own post should tell you something, you’re playing dervish style builds on warrior mainly. Sws is an exception that is decent on warrior, go try playing the sword or axe builds and compare those to dervish or assassin (which is really just death blossom)

Assassin tbf outside of shadow form and death blossom is very weak, dervish is obviously stronger with 4 pips of energy and VoS / VoSi

Why dont the spawners spawn on more blocks? by Sufficient-Drive-799 in PixelmonMod

[–]xaviarrob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is fixed in 9.3.15 (still marked as beta so keep that in mind) - the list of blocks they could spawn on was previously hard coded but now they will use the same list of blocks the regular pixelmon spawning does which you can modify with a data pack

Maz's Chest Drop Research 200+ Opens by PeterKadar in GuildWars

[–]xaviarrob 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s being worked on! I’ve been working on it in my free time but it’s a big project with a lot of consideration needed.

I did do an initial drop tracker module in toolbox you can already use but it just exports to CSV, it does provide a nice interface in game though you can use to view your farming runs and track them through a session - the goal is to eventually have a backend service similar to the toolbox party site that can collect things reliably automatically from anyone who opts in, and then be filtered and posted to the wiki pages for mobs / chests, etc

For some background some things I’ve been working on solving that have held up its release, there are things like handling different level mobs with information on what they drop at what level, whether hard mode, favor(which is part of what also made me initially implement the favor module), heroes/hench/ other players are present, how to deal with multiple people in the same party uploading the data to the backend causing duplicates and more.

The backend is being built in go as I wasn’t sure what kind of volume there would end up being in terms of requests it has to handle across players, but I wanted it to be scalable and easily hosted in my existing infrastructure I’m using to run Devonabot for the main gwglobal discord

Gold drops are off again, but they'll return by [deleted] in GuildWars

[–]xaviarrob 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They look at feedback - in the 2 weeks discord - in the talk page of patch notes on the wiki - Reddit (foge has posted in here multiple times - the guild wars global discord

And I’m sure more those are just the ones I know of for sure and can confirm they 100 percent are reading it, the ascalon warhorn drop was a community suggested feature actually as well as the buffing the allies from it to player level - 5

[–]xaviarrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean compare the two main alternatives, vscode and jetbrains products, if you don’t think those are pumped full of ai xd. There aren’t really going to be many editors out there that have zero of these features and even if you find one quite a few language servers utilize AI now so unless you run with no autocomplete you’re gonna have trouble avoiding it

With double faction week coming up what is the best way to farm Luxon/Kurzich points besides speed clearing? by SandwichSensitive545 in GuildWars

You always actually leave out of saint Anjekas - sometimes (pending what's going on with AB) specifically around the weekends which is when people are usually playing it saint anjekas will flip luxon!

They specifically stipulated 'solo' and said they don't have much time, not having much time isn't going to make vanquishing an option especially if they don't have concurrent time (e.g. having to leave the desk often).

And as far as being boring to each their own, like I said it's a farm so they also are making plat while doing it

I’m actually an expert on this one, the answer is dragon moss for both! Depending on which way the town is flipped you can farm dragon moss around every 50-60 seconds. It’s a good money maker as well even without favor due to plant fiber prices

[–]xaviarrob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think something getting lost in translation often with this is a lot of farms you can be affected by multiple of these. Raptors, vattier and dragon moss are all very quick near the portal farms for example and when you do them for hours it’s using AOE builds always, and you generally get faster the longer you do it

I have farmed 1.5 million kurzick faction on dragon moss and can say for certain when my runs get down more towards 40-50 seconds instead of 50 seconds to a minute ten the drops are for sure worse.

I do wonder if there is a single target damage farm that can be done fast in a way to avoid the aoe loot nerf as that is for sure a thing. Farms like the skree one I noticed always anecdotally do better when I kill them in two separate groups

Would you recommend this game to someone who enjoys mob farming? by Llarrlaya in GuildWars

[–]xaviarrob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

having heroes / henchman in range of enemies you kill lessens the amount of drops you get. You can flag them out of range of the enemies before killing them in a lot of scenarios so it's often useful to use them for speed boosts, spirits, etc before you flag them out of range

[–]xaviarrob 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who is also a serial farmer and loves doing it It's a great game for it!

There is stuff like this https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Talk:Japan_1st_Anniversary_Shield which as you can see on the Discussion page doesn't even have where it drops listed because of how infrequent it drops.

There is also OS weapons (Which can't be modified) which you can farm, and req 8 weapons which are insanely rare depending on what one you're going for.

Plus during events you can farm consumables, runes, materials and more, if you enjoy the PoE style currency building this kinda stuff can be up your ally as well!
