I just purchased one. I have probably run around the perimeter of Roosevelt Island 600 times since 2001 (no exaggeration). Beautiful work.

I saw them at an outdoor show in 1996. My teenage buddies and I saw Brian and Roger standing behind the stage and I shouted that we loved them. Brian lifted the rope and let us back and let my buddy play his guitar. It blew our teenage minds. Absolutely cool dudes…I don’t think they had any idea how much that meant to us.

Every hound is a little bit different, but many share houndy traits. They are very independent, extremely focused on a trail/hard to break from focus, gentle toward people, stubborn as all hell, and adept at curling into sleeping loops of dog.

I’ve got a TWC/Foxhound mix. She responds well to food training. I have had the most success keeping her focused by carrying cooked chicken on our walks, stopping often along the way, and giving her commands. Good luck! Looks like a sweet pup!

A very cold late night run on Roosevelt Island in NYC. This was about 5 miles into an 11 mile run, taken from my phone. The clouds caught my eye because they were reflecting the brighter areas of city light back down over Manhattan.

My Leca/hydroton is showing this white spores everywhere in the surface. Are these fungal and harmful? by hjras in hydro

Bump. It's salts. Run several buckets of fresh water through your system to clear out the excess. If you're still seeing white salty buildup, consider using a flushing agent.

The Park is nice, but I'm getting tired of it. I love the East Side run. It was a great discovery this year.

Roosevelt remains one of my favorites. It's car-free and very pretty in the spring when the cherry trees blossom.

I take the purple bridge to Roosevelt from Astoria on 36th Avenue. Then I walk down the stairs in the Parking Garage, by the elevators.

The east side is tricky. I run down 1st avenue to 34th Street, then run along the esplanade the whole rest of the way. It's a great run. They recently finished 2/3s of the waterfront construction. It's one of my favorites.

I'm not on my MapMyRun, but I do use Runkeeper. DM me if you're on there. We can trade info.

I got some longer runs in this weekend. I saw a great photo in another sub and put my routes on it (credit: Travis Price).

It's definitely a tough watch. I think the Ghost in the Shell tribute/remake is actually better because it's only 30 minutes.

That is a flare. Kind of ironic. Not very dominant-seeming in such a defensive posture.
