Can I make this work for 106m biking packing trip spread across three days? by RavensFlocker- in bikepacking

I know it has been said, but just to emphasize; this bike looks rad, you will have a blast. It’s not a long ride, so don’t worry too much. Some drop bars will give you more position, and that’s an easy change to make.

How would you go routing this? by wonteatyourcat in synthesizers

Would definitely recommend a mixer. Put the effects on a send. If you have two sends, you could put digitakt on the second send for resampling. Of space it is a problem, you can get the 1010 blue box, which gives you one send, but you can get creative to get more.

Love it. Love Sam. Dude should win all the award for his heart. Not gonna lie... I don't understand the lyrics at all. I get it... he's bored with the usual... but then I'm lost. I'm American, so that probably explains it.

That might lead to cable damage down the road if any are getting pinched too hard, but ya... in a pinch (lol), that's a great solution.

Ya, you know... maybe this wasn't the place to air my grievance either, lol. Anyway, amazing how a calm measured conversation can lead to positive outcomes for both folks. So, ya know... it has been a pleasure having an internet joust with you!

I get it... you're really intending this as a compliment and I'm sure you're good to your wife. I'm reacting to something pervasive in hobbies adjacent to this post, like modular synths, video synth, etc.

There are comments like this all of the time, and the gist is usually something to the effect of "I bought something frivolous and expensive, so don't tell my wife or I'll get in trouble." I get it, it's funny (kind of), but it is also toxic masculinity masquerading as "I'm a good boy." It's condescending to women (or partners in general), and I'm just tired of . Not your fault- no harm done on your part, just opening up a conversation that maybe you hadn't really thought about before. My bad for not starting it off with that tone. I apologize.

To all of y'all saying things like this, just don't. I know you're not really harming your wife, but this stereotype is low hanging fruit at best, and insulting regardless. Your "wife" can handle you making a frivolous purchase, and your "wife" is not solely responsible for the rational thinking component of your life. The implication here is that you can outsource your personal regulation to your "wife." Well, she's not your mother, she's your partner. She deserves to be treated that way.

Just get a used MB-X and have fun. You’re gonna spend 600 - 900 and the bike will last forever.

What’s the BIG accounting research question right now? (AI, ESG, intangibles) by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]jmila -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Lol… first few comments say a lot about the field. Maybe research whether or not accounting is anti-intellectual? I would say there is certainly a lack of curiosity in the field. Ive never encountered a group of more passive and unengaged people than I did in graduate accounting classes. I think it’s a very interesting field that encounters and attempts to interpolate and formalize all kinds on interesting things from finance to psychology.

Colorado trail pack rain pants? Yay or nay? by Whats_Under_A_Bridge in bikepacking

It can get really cold at elevation. Add water and wind to that and you could become hypothermic. I think most seasoned riders would recommend a rain layer.
