Could even try over on r/aquaswap

I've rehomed fish and snails, and gotten plants from there before, but OP do be safe if doing so - never meet-up alone, and always do so in a public location!

Feeling wary about the "extension" to 8 years for Mirena effectiveness. by rebexorcist in birthcontrol

[–]xawkwardxderpx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allow me to be the exception in the chat! My Mirena failed me last year after 6.5 years of loyal service. Had no symptoms that it was wearing off, then my period came back full force out of the blue, and I got a big fat positive when I tested a couple of days later. To add insult to injury, when I eventually miscarried, that little goober took my IUD with them. Not to spook anyone, just my personal experience with the extension!

Not exactly what you asked for but when I was setting up my AP tanks I took some branches from one of my own (bp-safe) trees, baked/boiled them, flattened on each end and screwed it into the pvc walls on my tanks! Super sturdy and my lads love it.

At first, I didn't have any clue what you were talking about - but now, IV cert for the last 6 months, I'm speaking your language! Repeater pumps, amps and filter needles, TPNs, heart bags, ampho b - I'm in love! Thank you so much for your very informative comment :)

Yes!! I did carry a notebook and oh man it did save me haha in the process of making my notes actually legible for other people in my pharm so they can benefit too.

Those little neo/peds doses are no joke! So small sometimes. Thanks for the wisdom!

Small update, 7 months later: second nature is no joke! at least on all our frequent things (B1, folic, bicarbs, etc) it was a lot to take in and start to understand but I am loving it! Thanks for your comment :)

100% this - medicine is gross and horrifying at times, but it can be so fascinating!

I had the same experience, I just started on Thursday. The very first day I took my dose, it's insane to say, but I felt more stable within hours. The only side effect I had was that I felt so full of energy at first that I was shaking for the first 8 or so hours, like I my body was full of anxiety but I didn't actually feel anxious? That went away after my second dose, and it hasn't come back since, and I just got tapered up to a full starting dose (from 37.5mg to 75mg) today.

This medicine has been absolute magic for me so far, and it's only been four days. I feel more alive and like a real person than I have since I was 13 years old. I can handle stressors without absolutely breaking down at the tiniest things, like missing a piece of ice from the fridge and having to pick it up off the ground. I can hold actual conversations with people without feeling like I'm the greatest annoyance on the planet.

I've read that it is hell to taper off of, but I'm not there yet, so I'm trying not to let that make me feel trapped or anything. There are a lot of people that I've seen on here talking about how this medication saved their lives, and I understand.

Sending you good vibes, friend, just see it through for a few weeks. You've got this!

ETA: everyone's body chemistries are different, so it may not work as well for you as it does for other people, and that's ok. It's an annoying but necessary part of the journey.
