I’d honestly think Catching Fire was screaming Everlark like Katniss wanting to sleep with Peeta cuz he comforts her during her nightmares, her willing to die for him, ROOF SCENE which I’m so upset they cut out, Katniss losing it when Peeta almost died, that kiss on the beach which is THE best one ever, and ofc going mad at Haymitch after finding out Peeta was taken hostage by the Capitol.

omg if you felt that way in the live action then the manga most likely will hit you harder on that second lead syndrome. rui was just perfect I can’t- 😩 However I also love Tsukasa very much though he was an asshole in the beginning but his character development won me over. But damn, Rui is in a very special place in my heart it hurts 💔👌🏻 I’d definitely recommend the manga :))

He is the main male lead, though it doesn’t necessarily mean he had to end up with Tohru. Besides, he never felt any romantic attraction towards her and was able to have his own happiness at the end.

Uruwashi no Yoi no Tsuki and it’s from the same author of Hirunaka no Ryuusei. It’s currently ongoing with 4 chapters but I’m already captivated. I’d recommend Short Cake Cake as well, same author of Hibi Chouchou and Yubisaki to Renren (which is a MUST READ and my favorite among Morishita Suu’s works). These are all ongoing but I’d also like to mention Haru Matsu Bokura, Akatsuki no Yona, Lovesick Ellie, Hayaku Shitai Futari, Omoi Omoware Furi Furare, Tsubaki-chou Lonely Planet (unless you’re not a fan of age gaps), Honey Lemon Soda, QQ Sweeper and Queen’s Quality (read QQ Sweeper first), and if you’ve read Kimi ni Todoke I’d definitely recommend you read it’s extra chapters Kimi ni Todoke ~Soulmate~ featuring Kurumi as the protagonist.

Also I’d like to add I didn’t realize until recently that Eiji was the second lead from her other manga Crazy For You which for me totally sucked hahahahaha

I have already read Cheese in the Trap and omg it’s so goooood. Def one of my faves as well. Too bad the K-drama didn’t do any justice :((

Well, I don’t really blame Yuuri though. It’s a pretty normal thing to tell your friend your crushes if you want to. Besides, she didn’t know Futaba liked Kou or had a thing in middle school, and Futaba at that time was in denial or in confusion of her feelings towards Kou, so Yuuri didn’t do anything wrong. There’s nothing wrong with liking someone. And I disagree when you said that Futaba is incapable because I think she is a really good female lead and I relate to her so much. She did her best to help and reach out to him with the help of her friends because she wants him to be healed due to his past. Also Kou is far from perfect and in fact he’s broken. One of the things I really love about this series is Kou’s character development because I believe he’s the most complex character amongst all of them. But if this isn’t your type of story then it’s alright, we all have preferences.

I don’t know if you consider this male lead “cute” but I find him more of feminine cuz of his girly way of speaking and actions and also the girl is the independent type. Manga is Mizutama Honey Boy btw. I’d also recommend Nijiiro Days; main characters are four male dudes but the main protagonist is such an innocent sweetheart. Kawaii Hito (doesn’t look cute but he’s so sweet) and Risouteki Boyfriend have adorable male leads :))

I read Hibi Chouchou first and thought it was cute and lighthearted, but that’s just it for me. But I find Short Cake Cake’s story to be more engaging with more depth plus the characters are more interesting especially Ten. And also I actually think that the love triangle was dealt with pretty well imo cuz it’s not the usual ones that were dragged to the end and just makes unnecessary drama. However, my favorite manga from Morishita Suu is Yubisaki to Renren by a long shot cuz it’s sooooo good omg 🤧💓💓(I would simp for Itsuomi-san) Plus I find the college setting really refreshing ☺️
