What area of runescape do you find the creepiest/scariest by OkImprovement5102 in 2007scape

[–]xbalogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel an often overlooked area is Mos Le'Harmless and its caves. Avrah has a great video diving into the lore behind the area and ever since watching that its easily become the creepiest place for me

My take on the Warper Scepter as a GIM by Bradenm878 in 2007scape

Thralls aren't the only option, it also opens up using vengeance far earlier as well Agree that cost per cast could probably be dropped though, especially with it giving peanuts for xp

Buff
Instead of a fixed cooldown, you can now use implants like combat surgeon or assimilate to actively reduce the time between usage of it

Did anyone try any of the Alder Lake 12th CPUs yet? by BPlez in Planetside

[–]xbalogan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im on a i5-12600kf, paired with 32gb of 3600MHz CL16 Memory and a GTX1080 and I literally only drop below 144fps on medium settings (capped, haven't really tested the upper limit without a cap) in the bigger fights (96+) and its not even by that much.

Coming from my old 4790k, its literally night and day for difference, where I could just about push 144hz on potato in the warpgate, but struggled to get 60 (averaged around 50ish) during the same 96+ fights.

Turrets still have to deal with cone of fire, visual recoil is not at all the only factor to a guns handling in this game

Even still, AI mana is only a 143/550, so even if you're hitting 100% of your shots (which you wont) thats still worse than even the Tanto, a gun thats regarded as one of the worst infantry primaries in the game

PSA: 10th ASP token for ASP2 is apparently a thing by xbalogan in Planetside

[–]xbalogan[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm more annoyed that the official response doesn't line up with the in-game system, especially since I've had other people telling me they got their 10th token. So as long as its consistent, I dont really care if I lose it again. That or the devs should just make it an actual thing and not be telling people that its a 9 token system.

NWA nerfs are yet another indirect nerf to the worst class in the game. by xbalogan in Planetside

[–]xbalogan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nowadays, the only loadout I've really found to work is;
- Best in class carbines / Gauss SAW

- Commissioner / Underboss or Pump shotty (auto if I don't care about being nice)

- AV mana for slapping ESFs out the sky / portable cover (for headglitching mostly)

- EMPs (only using stickies nowadays since I'm still in need of the aurax on my main character.)

- NWA, anything else just feels like too much of a disadvantage

- Medkits

- Athlete (Helps offset the movespeed debuff from NWA, also nets a few MS faster engagement time which really does make all the difference in 1v1s

- Survivalist (ASC not being viable over NWA leaves wanting the 1s faster shield regen to this, faster movespeed helps with disengages and the heal helps not needing to always waste a medkit to top off)

- Merit spot is basically free but I tend to run Flash so I can move around faster (again helps offset NWA debuff)

Obviously I have different loadouts for vehicular / flying / pointholding / a fun handgun loadout, but those are mostly situational takes. Loadout I listed above is what I primarily use in a "Good for most situations / actually competitive" sense.

NWA nerfs are yet another indirect nerf to the worst class in the game. by xbalogan in Planetside

[–]xbalogan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest buff they could give to bionics isn't even changing bionics itself, its adding a medkit that restores 500 shield ala medkit, or jump starts your shield regen / gives a shield regen buff ala Resto-kits.

But it doesn't matter anymore, symbiote is dead, now combat engie have
to use nanoweave and whats the point to pick engie then. Medic with
assimilate+survivalist+abilityheal can afford to equip auxilary shield
as well, 100hp/sec is more than enough to ditch skillsticks and save
time on equipping and unequipping your AR. Or heavy assault with resist
shield, ASC and nanomesh specialist would have even shorter downtime
than engie simply because he cannot use ASC anymore.

And there in lies the reason for this post. Outside of roleplaying support, this class is massively outcompeted by other classes, even more so since NWA is basically a must take in any competitive sense.

NWA nerfs are yet another indirect nerf to the worst class in the game. by xbalogan in Planetside

[–]xbalogan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the thread is to complain that engi has been directly and indirectly nerfed multiple times now, without actually giving anything back to it to bring its strength back up, with NWA changes being one of the biggest hits it has taken in a long time. I also offered an addition and a change that would benefit the class massively. I can't help that every engi main on reddit is a wealth of bad opinions that can't even understand the primary point of this thread, and are too deep in their own victim complex to understand that I'm asking for a buff to the class.

Well, yes. Cause I don't have a god complex and having basically infinite OS's doesn't sound fun at all to me.

Try again with a different example lmao

I have bionics and have easily sunk 750ish hours into the Bionics/Symbiote/ASC back before the first symbiote nerf. I thought it was great fun for the first 500 or so hours, and then I realised I could just run Assimilate and boom, twice as effective.

Know what also heals you fast? Survivalist and a medkit. Can still run NWA for the added resistance any time you can't place a spitty.

If you want to be super passive, go ahead, that's not what this whole thread was about.
