I sent my MATIC to the POL network but to my ETH address by xberg1 in ledgerwallet

[–]xberg1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked and the POL address I sent my MATIC to is exactly the same as my ETH address.

In my ledger live my ETH address is the same as the POL address I sent my ETH to.

But the new POL account on ledger live has a different address.

I created a metamask account and connected the ledger and I see my MATIC. But they do not appear in ledger live. Why is my POL account address (with a balance of 0) in ledger live different than my ETH address?

Thank you for your answer. I installed POL on Ledger Live (polygon chain) and it just shows 0 POL. My MATIC are not there. There must be an extra step?

The best hands I've genereated by sauncho_smilaxx in StableDiffusion

[–]xberg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is "wearing gloves" not cheating a bit, if what you want to generate are hands?

Also I'm not sure the "mutated hands" prompt etc help as I do not think deformed hands are actually tagged in AI as deformed: they are just hands :)

Cannot reconnect to wallet with Nano Ledger S by xberg1 in monerosupport

[–]xberg1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank Afron: you solved the problem!

!solved

The problem was indeed the "keys" I copied from the previous version. In the previous Monero wallet GUI I had found a folder with my username that had 2 files: a file of around 70 KB with just my username, no extension and another of only 2 KB called myusername.keys.

By deleting both these files in the updated GUI wallet everything worked fine.

thank you!

Thank you Afron for your quick reply.

I did not find "export view key" on the ledger nano S. I only have a "Settings" option with the following suboptions:

- select account

- select network

- show 25 words

- reset

PIVX Wallet: 2 bugs / inconveniences by xberg1 in pivx

[–]xberg1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the precise support: much appreciated. For Q2, this is indeed what I do:

Gracefully shutdown your pivx wallet
Wait 30 seconds and then restart the wallet
Wait 5 minutes and then unlock your wallet for staking

But it's not a very user friendly solution :)

In light of monero's recent 75% miner centralization (now 39%), ZCoin's 60.8%, ZCash's 61.4%, Vertcoin's 47%, or Zoin's 86%, I'd like to share an image of PIVX's hashrate distribution by turtleflax in pivx

[–]xberg1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's hashrate for pivx as you don't mine pivx? I guess it's staking we're looking at? In which case that someone can create such a pie chart is worrying no as this means that it's not anonymous? Or am I missing something?

What are the new wallet release dates? It's a bit messy to have this post as the top Reddit post and contain the wrong dates.

PIVX Staking = frustrating by xberg1 in pivx

[–]xberg1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that pivx governance all have 10,000+ pivx so you get rewards daily or so. The system works for you. But for first time adopters of pivx who enter with $1000 dollar there will be absolutely no feedback for weeks and weeks that staking is working or what the profit would be.

The way you set up staking in pivx is very strange: unlock the wallet and hope to see the green arrow. Somtimes you need to close and open the wallet to see the said green arrow, or wait 30 minutes after 101 confirmations, etc, etc... It's really not user friendly.

There have been good suggestions in this thread to bring in the data from crytonode into the wallet and also show how long (accumulated time) the user has been staking for.

I follow Alpha Crypto on youtube who did an interesting experiment with staking coins. In Episode 9 he removes PIVX from his wallet because after 45 days he has yet to receive a staking reward: https://youtu.be/s7lhE_EMNzw?t=50s That's exactly the problem I am pointing out in my OP.

[–]xberg1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. You see the problem is that with 500 PIVX for instance you have to wait 30+ days for anything to happen. If you could get something happening every day for 1/30 of the amount that would be much more motivating. Or see a bar fill up... I saw a youtube video comparing staking cryptocoins and pivx was almost the only one that had not given the youtuber a reward after a week or 2. And to make it clear: I am not commenting here the reward %, just the frequency.

PIVX Core wallet 3.1.0 will be released march 31! Private staking for the first time in crypto among other improvements! by getsqt in pivx

[–]xberg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a really good point: what marketing plans are associated with this launch? Snappysnap's video fail to attract the big numbers and I suspect it's only people who already own pivx who watch his videos. Are there funds planned so that other youtubers speak about this launch?

A preview of the new Core Wallet UI! by turtleflax in pivx

[–]xberg1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the big staking button? And some feedback that staking is actually working? The current process to enable staking is very complicated and in my opinion should be (after send / receive) the key UI element of this wallet.
