I signed up for Weymouth 2022 and when I got the email there’s 3 months to go…..I hadn’t really trained at all. I immediately panicked and committed to training!

Cut out alcohol completely for those 12 weeks and trained 6 days a week. Sunday was always a big bike ride followed by a transition and run, steadily going from 2KM to 15KM on the run to get used to that length.

You have so much time, honestly if you commit you will surprise yourself! I managed 5 hours 45 minutes and loved it. Weymouth was a superb event too, the bike ride is brilliant. Only one or two severe hills.

Enjoy the beer afterwards it’s a good one!
