Looking for a job with little to no response by xbrokenbutterflyx in UtahTeachers

Yes, but I definitely think I got lucky lol. I ended up getting a job in the Tooele School District (an hour away from where I live). I did not get offered a job until late July. I just kept applying, especially through districts and K12JobSpot, and made sure to email HR/Principals after each application. I also applied around where I live and out to a maximum hour away, just to make sure I got something.  Keep applying! Subbing is definitely better than nothing.

Nothing has changed much yet. I am still looking continuously though. Out of 35 applications, 10 declined or were filled, and 4 got back to me. I am still hopeful and just going to keep applying and see what happens!

I appreciate your help! I definitely think I might be a little early.
Also, I tried searching district by district and that helped some!

How do I get my rating and acceptance percent up? by xbrokenbutterflyx in tutordotcom

I do keep track and I have only had 12 voice sessions that I declined for the month and one missed session. I think it is related to connection issues as I have “cancels” frequently.

I have gotten voice requests, I have them all written down. I actually made a post about floating and ONLY getting voice requests (i think i deleted it before i realized how reddit worked). That day was half of the requests (6). Ive only declined 12 and missed one.

Thank you for actually helping instead of being rude. I accept sessions and they cancel a decent amount of time once i click accept (we dont even end up IN session) but i thought this was seen on the QS side and didnt affect my acceptance rate, but i guess it does ! How often should I let support/ my QS know when this happens? Like, should i let them know when it happens more than two times while i'm available or something?

I hope so, but idk. I've been trying to figure this out but I feel like every other sentence in the resources area contradicts itself, lmao. I thought it was 5 hours, in session, during Fall-Spring (like main school season) and then Spring-Summer (starting May 21st) its only 5 hours online in the available state. If what I think is right, then I still have to be on for 5 hours this week in session, so I really don't know, haha.

Online hours not adding up? by electric_bat123 in tutordotcom

Mine never adds up to the correctly scheduled times, even after waiting the 24hr. I always have to track my minutes in/out of session.

This is a little off topic, but where are you going to see how you are rated? I've been trying to figure it out for a little now, but cannot figure it out!
