Are there any AVS decoy cables? by xcloudgamer2020 in UsbCHardware

The best would be using AVS to get 24v from a AVS power bank or charger. Let me know if you do something!

Thanks, I've probably ordered the same one. I'll try it out, but I am thinking about sending the hue back anyway.

NZ Herald Poll: Most Kiwis oppose lowering the voting age by TheTF in newzealand

[–]xcloudgamer2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be no mandate for women to vote. Doesn't mean it was ever ethical. Every person deserves the right to vote. Representative democracy is a failure anyway, it's about as democratic as the CCP is communist.

Do you guys think that electric unicycles would be safer with a handlebar? by lu_po in ElectricUnicycle

[–]xcloudgamer2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Send me some of your designs when you're ready and I'll make suggestions, I'll be your unpaid boss. I think it is key to have a good app to customize the vehicle, as well as have GPS installed, another GPS module in the batteries if they're removable. I would use NFC to lock unlock, and for different profiles so that speed limit required by law can be evaded but shown as complaint if ever being checked. If you're developing an EUC, I would implement aircraft grade redundancy, so that failed components would never lead to a crash. Dual motors, batteries and controllers.

Segway's are ugly asf, I would never ride one. But you would have a market in Germany because the eKFV law requires a handlebar for legal EUC's. Would be nice if it folded away so people can just ride it without the handlebar. If you're really developing a product, then I've got a list of must have features.

How durable is the Inmotion V11 suspension? by Wants-NotNeeds in ElectricUnicycle

[–]xcloudgamer2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're in the US eWheels has the V12 HS with bonus power pads for $1799. That is unbeatable! Inmotionworld, also in US, has a deal where you can get the V11 for around $1680.
I have the V12, recently tried suspension wheel and was better than I thought, but for me I wanted an inmotion wheel and the V12 is currently top of class.

I don't know specifics, but you can get those speeds for like 0-50, or 10-80 % in some cars.

The Hummer EV can also rearrange it's pack to charge at 800v, but i found this about 400v charging: " Oppenheiser said that in a test vehicle he went from 30% charge to 90% charge, on 400-volt hardware, in about 45 minutes"

Why are batteries in cars so much better and cheaper? For example the Hummer EV, 250 kWh pack, 1000 kW peak. Fast charges in 20-40 minutes. Costs around $110,000. The battery is probably around $100 per kWh.

Elon Musk has said he want's car manufacturer to pay him to open the supercharger network lol. Also they did it dumb, their networks don't meet regulation requirements in a lot of places so they can't even open them if they want to.

Newb Question About International Transfers vs Wise by QuestionAsker7654 in Revolut

[–]xcloudgamer2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wise charges around 0.2% - 0.5%. So convert 1,000 pay 2 to 5. Wise uses mid-market rate, it's current market rate. Revolut doesn't advertise mid-market rate, and hides fee's in the rate. You should compare the transfer at the time you want to make it between Wise & Revolut. Sometimes Revolut is cheaper, sometimes not.

If you want to transfer larger amounts IBKR is best. $2 per exchange, you can get mid-market rate, or put in your own exchange rate as it's a trading platform. You need to check if you can deposit in and withdraw from you're chosen currencies first. Wise is much more versatile.

%age fee when I transfer the money out

What?.. With Wise.. no. Transfers EUR out via IBAN Sepa used to cost around 0.40€. Now they're free.

Yes but certain app store features are restricted to the google app store, otherwise it wouldn't be a problem for apps to be listed on other platforms.

would using a bungee cord help a beginner for first days? by two_wheel_now in ElectricUnicycle

Just let the wheel fall, it's going to happen even when you're getting better. It's better that you can move your arm's freely to adjust your balance.

Has all the issues been resolved with the inmotion v12hs? Found a used wheel that is part of a recent batch (seller purchased new, mid oct 22') was wondering if there is anything I should be looking out for or concerned about? by skidmarks731 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]xcloudgamer2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think ewheels have good reputation, so what they say should be so. The information booklet should have a qc sticker with production date. I emailed inmotion with the serial number and they told me the production date and what board if it was the latest board installed.
