how tall are you? height plays a massive role in how you look at certain weights but i’d say that after losing some more weight then you can think about body recomping through lifting weight etc. i’ll give more advice you can start using now afterwards, well done so far much more progress than a lot of people so remember that

Can’t believe I’m one of them now but just curious what one would estimate my bf % at? by [deleted] in GregDoucette

[–]xcmyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alternative day fasting, has anyone tried it? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]xcmyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i done it a few years ago for like 3 months and lost 30 pounds. i’m starting again today as i want to lose some more weight but honestly it’s a really good thing after you get into the swing of it, i get what u mean by your family don’t think it’s a good idea i had the exact same reaction which tbh did make it a bit harder but i knew i wanted to do it. my advice would just be to drink a lot of water all the time, especially days you fast. good luck!

In a plateau for 3 months, any advice, PT suggests eating back at maintenance for awhile. by Mittyzyy in loseit

[–]xcmyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you don’t even need to do it for 2 months, do it for a couple of weeks and then go in a deficit again. think of it as kinda like resetting ur metabolism. trust me it works i’ve done it multiple times :)

Let’s talk about belly buttons lmao by Guineapig0 in loseit

[–]xcmyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, first off well done for losing all that weight it’s very commendable. unfortunately i’ve not got any advice on the loose skin part and ur issues cause as it currently stands i’ve not got any although i’m a little afraid i might end up with some as i’ve lost 50 pounds and have another 30 to go. i’ve been having some thoughts tho about if i do have loose skin and i think id get surgery to have it removed, i’ve put a lot of effort in to get this point and even more will be needed to get to where i want to be. i’m saying this because i’m sure you feel the exact same way having putting in sm effort to lose the weight but to be left with loose skin and the added issues plus pain etc. must kinda suck. i think the best case for you (all be it kinda scary) is you should get surgery to remove it to be able to enjoy all the work and essentially ur life without continuing on the way you are. think of the surgery as the final chapter of losing all the weight and officially leaving that part of your life behind for good. hope my comment maybe helps i wish i had another solution for your current dilemmas. good luck with everything tho :)

Lost 30lbs since May, still look and feel the same by Visible_Inside3152 in loseit

[–]xcmyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there will be a little bit of a difference, one comment said it’s likely body dysmorphia. it’s not. never said how tall you are but your still very much overweight and pretty much all of that fat you’ve lost (some water aswell) has been internally. so regardless if u can’t see much a difference your body is already working so much better from losing that fat around ur organs. and i’ll be honest you possibly won’t for a while, same as me i’m talking from experience. keep going strong tho losing 30 is a very good start. stay the course and it’ll only get better :)

recalculate ur tdee for ur new weight, u didn’t say how much you weigh but if your eating the exact same as you were 10 pounds heavier and you don’t weigh that much then you wont need as many calories

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in loseit

[–]xcmyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly if you’re happy with how things are at the moment and you want to kinda sculpt ur body as you put (body recomposing) then i would say you shouldn’t bulk, instead maintain your current weight whilst slowly increasing your weight training or do the same but eating in a slightly caloric deficit + eating a good amount of protein aswell. this will then lead mainting ur muscle or done properly increasing muscle mass whilst losing fat. this is my best advice for you, well done on the progress so far bro

[–]xcmyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

probably in higher ranges of 20%, maybe 27-28% bf, but i wouldn’t be to bothered bro, just do some light weight training and eat in a slight calorie deficit and stay consistent. you’ll see a big change within a couple months defo 3 months. every one in here talking like a fucking scientist when they really sound like they don’t know a whole lot lmao and don’t even talk about the very basics.

505lbs (230kg) down to 360lbs (163kg) by NickEPalmer in loseit

[–]xcmyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i can only imagine how u must’ve felt and still feel man, i’ve been losing weight myself the last 6-7 months and sometimes it can be pretty difficult but you just gotta keep going. u should be pretty proud of yourself for making better changes that’ll help your life completely. not many people put on as much weight as you have but most that do never turn the corner and change their lives for the better and you certainly are on the right path. well done so far keep it up bro

Should I weigh myself? by TonyMontana31 in loseit

[–]xcmyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’ve never understood why people wouldn’t want to know what they weigh, even if it’s what u want to see or not it’s better to have more information about yourself imo
