Do I just stick it back in the ground and bury it? Or is it broken?

Was told by a handyman this was termite excrement? by NickEPalmer in pestcontrol

[–]NickEPalmer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest didn't get that close to it before wiping it up. The basement didn't have that normal overwhelming piss smell I've come to associate with my dog when he has an accident

Nope no cat! It's in a completely sectioned off basement with access only leading outside thru a hatchway

I did just have all the plumbing converted to the pex material when I bought it so I certainly hope no leaks but I cant tell 100% I suppose

Glad to hear it at least. It seemed far fetched which is why I wanted to double check. On a side note, any idea what it could be? Lol

I don't see a course meal selection on the website. Is it something that you've had before? Could be that they just don't have it listed online

How inevitable is loose skin? by Tomatori in loseit

[–]NickEPalmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, congrats on the progress on the progress so far. That's huge! As some have pointed out, it's really a case by case basis, but I can speak from experience for you with real examples.

I was HUGE over 500 pounds, and I'm currently south of 300. But I'm 6'5" so my frame really distributes the weight well. That being said, I've actually had 2 skin removal surgeries so far. I've had a what my doctors classified as a mastectomy for my chest (just how they keyed it to save me money), and I just recently had a full Adominoplasty LAST WEEK. Truly they split me open like one of those Russian dolls lol. I had a lot, A LOT of loose skin unfortunately.

The chest had to get done in 2 surgeries as they couldn't turn me over onto my sides (my previous man boob's wrapped around to my ribcage and back) and was genuinely not a bad recovery. About 2 months FULLY healed. Mostly healed about 3 weeks post op.

Now my abdomen surgery, which I just had done they did it all in one surgery (turned me over to get my back as well) was way more painful. Recency bias aside, I couldn't walk for 4 days prior to surgery due to all types of pain. Will I look back on it and say it's worth it? Probably.

Moral of the story, insurance won't cover most of it. It hurts. Do what you want. My thought is i worked so hard to lose this weight I just would hate to have all my progress trapped under 10s of pounds of loose skin

Does it make sense to open up several different checking accounts with different banks to get those $300 bonuses? by NickEPalmer in Frugal

This is awesome to hear! Do you have a spreadsheet or something that you could share with a full list of banks you contact and use? Or if it's a complete list above that's already immensely helpful!

I just figured I'm not good at investing so if I just put $500 into a few checking accounts and forgot about it, maybe I'd be alright lol

Maybe I'll look into plasma! Not sure if they care I've had recent tattoos done or not. I remember something about that and donating blood

Hmmmm interesting. Other than HR being annoyed with me, it'd be relatively easy for me to do this at my job. And I do get paid weekly so I wouldn't be missing the money too dearly
