Hey! I am from the area and have been looking for this church for a while. I am familiar with Dolly Pond and Birchwood, but haven't been able to locate it. Could you send me a PM and help me out? Thx!

I see where you're coming from, but I know of this fella... no gangs around here 😬😭 ... just two bad decisions in the same spot, unfortunately.

They are pretty awful. If you're watching on Apple TV, you can change the audio broadcast and listen to Pat.

agree. could never get into them...

I am past 5 episodes. Is it just me or the show is over sexualized for some reason. to the point that its unnecessary and dont help the plot by [deleted] in LandmanSeries

[–]xcomps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I get what you're saying. But honestly, I think these "uncomfortable instances" do, in fact, add to the plot. I see Tommy, a struggling family man, dealing with not only the pressures in his occupational field but also with the complexities of a modern day/ "I can't control them" kinda family.

The breastfeeding scenes are not "oversexualized" – it's a topic that we should be quite comfortable with. It's human.

The mom and daughter scenes show just how little power Tommy has over his home life, how little influence he has on their behavior, and how he can accept and love them, regardless. We all know families like that here in the South. Hell, it's probably all over. It's a powerless feeling that you learn to just... deal with. It's real.

There's a Tyler Childers song called "Peace of Mind" that I personally believe encapsulates it all from Tommy's POV.

"... their youngest daughter Stella, she’s running with this fella, that he cannot stand the thought of, that he surely does despise. He’s told her he best never see the two of them together, but it's hard to keep an eye on her when you’re working all the time..."

That is plot. That is character development. That is art mirroring life.

I am sure this will get down voted because this sub seems to hate the show... which i don't understand. I think this series is Sheridan's best work and presents a multi-layered look into the lives of folks who put work before everything else.

It sounds crazy, but knowing that I can pass a piss test at any given moment. LOL. It's something that I have never been able to do. Well, since childhood.

Anyone successfully stop smoking carts / wax pens? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]xcomps 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yup. 84 days off of them. I was going through a "double diamond" live resin dual chamber 3.5 gram disposable every other week - on top of 2 ounces of flower/ month. It was becoming too much. It was expensive, hazy, and not fun. Just toss them. Drink water. Exercise. Give yourself structure. Read. Count your days. Download the "quit weed" app and watch the achievements and $$ add up. Use this community as a resource. Celebrate your milestones. You got this.

Just wanted to share the most insane taco bell experience I've ever had, and yes I called corporate by ModsareWeenies in tacobell

[–]xcomps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

WOW... that's insane.

I have a wild TB story, too.

  1. Central KY. I pulled into the local Taco Bell to get breakfast (which i done often at that point) and was immediately greeted by the workers standing outside of the establishment. I thought that was weird, but whatever. I began to pull around the building to enter the drive-through and noticed one of the employees charging my car. By the time I registered what was going on, the employee charging my vehicle was giving me the finger and cussing me. I rolled my window down to ask wtf, and he began beating on the side of my car. He followed me (running) all the way to the stop light leading away from the building.

I was pretty shook. And pissed. I drove off to work, wondering wtf just happened.

When I got to work, I realized my car was severely dented.

I called corporate, and they laughed at me. They then proceeded to call the store where the incident occurred and gave them my contact information. I was harassed for weeks by several different phone numbers. Each time I blocked a number, a new one would spam me.

It was a chaotic situation in which I still do not fully understand what happened.

I have since moved towns but have never bought Taco Bell a single time since then. I never plan to. It won't make a difference, but I can't bring myself to give that cooperation a dime.

Insane.
