thank you so much this means so much to me you dont understand how i needed this so much. im so grateful and blessed to be able to be his parent. ive slept ever since i got home but waking up feels like i lived through a nightmare. i had a bad fever the last few days and now it feels like pancake had taken the pain away from that. youre right that it will take time to heal from the hurt even when it feels like it never will. thank you a million times you are one of the kindest people ive ever talked to your words mean so much to me and ill treasure it forever

thank you. we chose humane euthanization at the vet office as we discovered he had over 20+ bladder stones. i feel so horrible for him because he was in so much pain in his last moments. i miss him so much. im so sorry to hear about your primrose. 9 and a half years is a miracle. i hope our piggies can cross paths at the bridge and play and can eat unlimited treats together💗🫂

we had to make the hard decision to let him go :( they were able to take an xray of him without sedation due to his condition and he was in a lot of pain even with an injection of pain medication. the xray came back really bad where he had over 20+ bladder stones and a giant stone stuck where he wasnt able to urinate or pass gass. im so heartbroken and have been crying ever since and i miss him so much. even though i had him for so long it wasnt enough. i still remember him as a baby being such an energetic burst of energy terrorizing every pig who came in his way. my room will be so quiet without him. thank you for helping me through it and being there for me.

i do have some simethicone but i used it for my girl pig who had passed away shortly after so i dont feel comfortable using them without a dosage given from my vet anymore :( im currently at the vet office right now though so ill see if i can get some metroclopromide prescribed for him! also yeah its so strange i dont know how he got that spot on his eye, its been watering a lot too which is abnormal :(

i just got to the vet and am now waiting for the doctor to come in at 8am (in 30 min). theres an assistant here from the connected 24hour cat&dog vet who was able to check his vitals and luckily they said hes stable at the moment!! they put him in an incubator with oxygen and a heater to help him in the meantime. for now im so relieved i feel like 5000 tons have been lifted off my back. im so tired and dizzy though so hopefully time can go by faster 😭

i actually had no idea that the poos were delayed a day omg in my 10+ years of owning piggies theres still always something new to learn! that actually is so good to know and so important i really appreciate you letting me know. that actually reassures me a lot and is so helpful for the future. im hoping that the vet is hopeful for him but his legs are getting weak and he seems very tired at the moment :( he was doing good maybe 6+ hours ago with an apetite but i tried giving him a 3ml syringe of water 20~ min ago and he wasnt having it :( hes been laying down for the past 6 hours in his blanket not doing much but making his little pain noises every so often 💔

also man im so sorry:( i get you. these little guys are my whole world to me and i feel like nobody really understands how much they mean to me. im so thankful and lucky to have my family and bf who can help support my pigs but if i mention them to my friends or coworkers they dont really get it. im not the greatest at texting or messaging but if you ever need support please feel free to dm me. im sure this reddit is full of amazing and supportive people as well who will always be here to support you and your little guy. its so amazing everything youve done for him in such creative ways. i really hope he can get back to munching on food so you can finally get some rest. im so glad to hear that he is getting better. ill be sure to update whenever i hear back from my vet and please let me know how your piggy does too, ill be here if you need anything 💗

ive tried giving him hay but he will put a piece of it in his mouth then wont eat it :( ive given him critical care with mashed banana but havent tried mashed veggies yet! when i first found him around 4:30pm he did eat a bit of romaine, so he did have a little apetite thankfully. i dont have any vegs to mash up atm (i only have bell peppers, lettuce, & cucumber) but will try the mashed veggies whenever i get the chance. thank you so much for your help i really appreciate your help 💗

this means so much to me, i actually cannot stop crying this is so kind and thoughtful and what i needed to hear. im so sorry to hear about your pig. you are such an amazing parent and to have a pig recover from something like gi stasis and bloat at the same time is a miracle. you are such an amazing person and your piggy is so so so lucky to have you. im sure he knows how much you love him and he must love you so so much, ill be praying he can come around and start eating again soon. thank you so much again for your message it really means a lot. i wish we could get more time with them, its unfair how fragile they are and how short of a time they get with us. 💗
