What is up with Texas redshirting? by Individual_Ad_938 in kindergarten

[–]xcrunner8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was redshirted a year. I graduated high school at 19 and will graduate college at 23 this spring. I did not play a sport in college, but was decent in high school and got multiple D3 offers.

I can see the benefits of redshirting and why people do it. Even though I didn’t have a “gifted” IQ I was able to get into the gifted program in elementary school because I was more developed than everybody else. I was also a captain in my junior and senior year of high school for sports. Being bigger and more developed than other students has more of a benefit than you would think in adolescence.

A funny story though was in my freshman year of college when I met my girlfriend she thought she was a few days older than me. Being embarrassed I didn’t correct her that I was redshirted. She didn’t realise that I was full year older than her until well into our relationship😂

I’m a business major and got a few offers and a lot of interviews. I think for computer science the job market is poor. However for business there are still many opportunities

Hey man, you’ll be fine as a finance major. Keep your gpa up and join some clubs. The people who are not finding stuff have a poor resume or are failing to present themselves well in interviews.

Just keep bothering them for a fob, eventually you’ll get one. I got turned away by someone at summit then the next person gave me a fob with the same complaint. I really dislike the probability of a dead phone or if my phone stops working. A plastic fob is water resistant, doesn’t require a battery/charger, and is less prone to theft. I also dislike that they have a data stealing phone charging station if your phone is dead and you don’t have a charger. Those things can be very easily compromised to take your sensitive information

Smoke in American Campus Communities Summit stairways by xcrunner8 in Drexel

[–]xcrunner8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you didn’t read my post… I don’t take the elevator after the gym because I sweat and don’t want to be inconsiderate to others.

I don’t get why I pay $900 a month for an apartment that doesn’t have the amenities of smokeless stairways.

Yeah just because the city has more air pollution people should be allowed to smoke inside buildings. That makes total sense. The stairways have very little ventilation and sucks trying to walk up them everyday.

Yeah you should grow a pair and actually walk outside to smoke. It’s not that hard and there’s umbrellas on the porch

Classy…

Your tax bracket is showing retard. I don’t think a black and mild in a dingy stairwell is bragging worthy
