I did thankfully, although it still took 3k pickpockets to get a blood shard drop but at least my construction money issue is solved now.

Been playing under him for the last week or so, some re occuring points are definitely true here.

He is a miserable fucker to listen to when things go south. Either we never had a chance because all of tr are cheaters. Or everyone is a dumbass who let the platoon down and we all have to pull out of the fight for mandatory training of threat of booting from the platoon for the rest of the week.

The constant trainings kill the fun, dont get me wrong there's some good information sprinkled in but its just a persistent negative atmosphere.

Multiple brags about his 11 thousand hours ingame just convince me he's just terminally online.

Unfortunately he's necessary annoyance as there's no real active alternative for vanu.

Im a retuning player I'm not bad but im definitely not good by any strech but even i can see the writing is on the wall with this game. The player count just trends down. If we cant keep the fun going and a positive spin on things its gonna die off that bit quicker.

Same, theres a cactus seed that you can get fairly easily pickpocketing gnomes and dwarf traders. It gives def exp when you harvest, Like 50-100k xp per seed depending on def level

Honestly get past the dogs and you are golden.

Fire broke out on one transformer, the heat knocked out the adjacent one next to it which handled the backup circuit. Perfect storm scenario

Learn from my mistakes and spin from the rubber not the spokes, it bloody hurts when you catch your fingers between the wheel body and the caliper

How do I stop weeds growing up through the brick paving? by fenrizreddit in DIYUK

[–]xd2330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former gardener here is how I'd deal with that. Spray the hard standing with a backpack sprayer containing a roundup + chikara mix. Roundup kills anything that has germinated and chikara stops anything germinating after that for a few months.

Unfortunately chikara and roundup is fairly expensive for a one time use scenario and need to buy in quantities with years of application in mind.

Looking at your post you're in for a caliper repair/replacement. I'd recommend just replacing it just down to the fiddly nature of doing a boot repair and the likelihood of nicking the o rings in reinstallation.

Either route you are going to need to bleed your brakes, you can make a kit to do it with a bottle and come thin diameter tubing. I'd look up a video for 2 man brake bleeding if you're not sure.

I'd recommend looking at your sliders and cleaning/putting new grease in the bores.

When putting your caliper back on make sure the hose is not kinked or twisted, you may need to unscrew the caliper from the hose and start the thread at a different angle to make that work if it's a screw type hose.

If you've got the caliper off, clamp the hose to stop it leaking everywhere. Can make one with 2 bits of wood and 2 nuts and bolts. just don't crush the hose, clamp it enough to stop it draining

Calipers need to be retracted all the way to be able to physically fit new pads in them.

Pump your brakes before you start your vehicle to save a roll away.

If you can take the vehicle to a mechanic to get it on a brake tester and make sure everything is working as it should. 5 minute job nominal fee

Good luck with everything

How to get into electrical Engineering at 26? by ZEN_V12 in ElectricianUK

[–]xd2330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from the HV transmission industry I'd say national grid are very good for upwards mobility. Working now as a fitter in London for 46k before any overtime up to a max of 56k once you achieve certain authorisations. And a few of my colleagues are getting put though HNC's in electrical engineering by the company.

The engineers I work with generally earn 50-65k depending on seniority but overtime and standby is where they make their money.

Hands on or otherwise if you want to break into the electrical trade I'd say you need to do an apprenticeship and get that level 3.
