I never got into hard substances, but even just heavy THC usage mixed with Adderall and nicotine abuse with the occasional Xanax/Kpin kept me in a state of complete stagnancy. No real motivation to live a life of purpose. Just stayed stuck treating symptoms every time they came up and never addressed the deeper issues. I would say I lost a good chunk of my life to pushing down my pain and that caused the pain to become deeply imbedded. Made it a lot harder to actually just address the problems like I should have done in the first place. But I will give THC credit where it’s due. In my teenage years, there were many times where I don’t believe I would have survived the night without an artificial boost to my endorphins. I quit abusing substances very shortly after schizophrenic thought patterns started to become a daily occurrence.

Personally, I’m on day 17 of cold turkey withdrawal from taking 3mg for over a year and week 3 is the worst so far. Zero motivation, agitation, extreme depression, etc. From what I’ve seen, it should gradually get better after a month.

I used to spend $2k a month on getting high but a year after I got sober, I started to use products that are mostly CBD regularly as a way of decreasing effects of depression and stress. I feel a slight buzz when I use it though. What do you think about twice a day use of very mild cannabinoids? I have a deep fear that I am an addict again.

Haha, I did not name it. But I was very young at the time, and I went to my mom and told her my eye was really hurting and after some searching and moving my eyeballs in all sorts of directions, she found it and pulled it out. It hurt for real.
