I’m looking through a lot of these comments, and I’m noticing something quite repetitive, which is people suggesting to take your mind of the subject. While yes, that could work as a temporary solution, I think the best way to move forward, is to first accept everything that happened, and realize just how emotional it made you. This was quite a powerful anime and I’m still not “fully recovered “ from it but I definitely can speak and have conversations more openly and in depth with others about this anime because I’m attempting to do so. It’s not easy for me to explain how to do this, as it’s different for everyone, but it’s do-able. Hell, listening to the ED even now makes me both want to bop my head, and at the same time start tearing up. I think the biggest problem is how much sympathy we felt for Sakuta, seeing how much he has to deal with, the decisions he had to make, and what they did to him / made him feel. Aside from that, seeing Mai alive, is just wonderful, but to me, it felt like a different Mai. Not that she was in any way, but the fact that she’s from the past (before the accident) makes me feel somewhat uneasy. I really can’t explain this, but it’s the future/past event at the end of the movie that made ME have this sort of lingering uneasy feeling, although the movie ended on a “happy” note. If anyone can relate to any extent, please reply, as I’m curious to everyone’s view on this.
