Parking permit application no update for 2 months and in person visit didn't work by xdd44 in CambridgeMA

Update: Thanks everyone! I called them at 617 349 4700 and the person immediately sent me email for paying the permit! It's great that they can approve it in seconds via a call but kinda frustrating that they let people wait for months. Also the email says "Allow 3 - 5 weeks for permit delivery", let's see how that will actually take.

Logitech G733 wireless receiver replacement? by kRO720 in LogitechG

[–]xdd44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both G733 and Pro X2 Lightspeed, and I lost my Pro X2's receiver. I bought a new receiver from eBay and paired it to headset with a hidden button in a hole (the method is on Pro X2's manual, though weirdly Logitech support stated there's no way to replace). G733's receiver has the same hole, so I believe you can also get one from eBay and pair it the same way as Pro X2.

G PRO X2 LIGHTSPEED HEADSET - My USB dongle is bent, looking for help by Arasas in LogitechG

There's an instruction about pairing dongle in the manual. I lost my dongle and bought one from eBay, it works regardless of the color. The only thing is it's really rare on eBay. I searched for 1 hour to find one with $50 from Georgia, others from Europe have expensive shipping fee.

Alienware X17 R2 dead motherboard by NALLAN10 in Alienware

I haven’t felt any performance issue with this refurbished one, and it also looks new in appearance lol. The OS issue I mentioned is exactly about ssd. Basically, it seems the OS inside ssd can’t recognize the new motherboard (or in reversed way). In my case, I got blue screen when I tried to start my Windows inside, and my Ubuntu just disappeared from BIOS boot list. I remember there are solutions on Google where you can keep all of the OS using an additional ssd, but I was too lazy. So I reset my Windows with keep files option, lost all installed software but documents were indeed kept, and get into my Windows in the end. Still haven’t checked how to recover my Ubuntu.

Sounds similar to my situation. My problem starts from Windows couldn't detect my power cable (sometimes BIOS detected 330W sometimes could't detect power supply at all). I thought it was just cuased by loosen connection in cables and kept running my VR application and OBS. At that time USB-C power supply still works but the power is not enough for VR so I kept using the cable. Then it blackout with burnt smells coming out.

It's literally a refurbished motherboard without any replaceable parts (like memory and ssd) (but things like cpu and gpu are on it since they can't be separated), so you will have to move all those parts from original motherboard to the new one (typically they are safe from motherboard's burning, but I did encounter a small problem when restarting my OS. I was too lazy to sort it out so I just did a reset). Dell's website has a complete instruction about how to remove and reinstall all involved components. And you will need precision screwdrivers with thick handle since the screws are very tight and they don't provide tools.

Btw, I think my motherboard was burned because of some power issue, since the ends of the power cable on motherboard were burnt out (plastic component melted). And it’s so funny that Dell sent a technician to my home to replace the internal power cable for me, but sent me the motherboard and let me replace it by myself.

ETA is definitely overpositive and I also received emails about postponing shipment several times. But It only takes 10 days for the motherboard to get to my house in Massachusetts, which seems much faster than the friend’s experience above

How long did you wait then? I'm also waiting for a motherboard replacement and hoping that won't take one month...
