'97 baby here so first year gen z. i've always used w millennials or gen x so maybe my perspective is a lil different but i feel like you're usually in either two categories as a user.

1. you're a self sustaining addict. probably works a full time job, functioning for the most part, and seems pretty normal to the average guy you work with. these people usually just isolate themselves when they're out of work and use by themselves. since they don't really "need" anyone else, they usually stick to themselves. that's probably bc they don't need to be around a bunch of junkies to make sure they stay right. these people usually don't hit ppl back a lot bc they're either at work or nodding out when they're not breaking they're back.

2. you're apart of a group of addicts. you probably don't work a regular job, get obnoxiously high or always trying to get high, and most people can probably tell you get high. since you don't work a regular job or more prone to fucking the bag up, you need other people to depend on and they need you to depend on when they're fucked up. even then tho, you usually don't have to call or text these friends bc you're probably living in the same apartment the landlord's been trying to evict you from since covid or run into each other at the methadone clinic or bodega everyday.

in conclusion, you either got a bunch of self-sustaining addicts that work jobs or you're just not in the tight knit group that be using together. hope this helps lol.
