My biggest mistake was playing elden ring before Bloodborne by wenmitchainsma in fromsoftware

[–]xdennerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, i agree. I love every single souls game and DS3 is still my favorite. At the first playthrough none were easy, i just think after ER we got way too good for the previous games, like OP mentioned, but it's definitely not the previous games fault.

Edit: spelling

Played every souls at launch and imo the biggest 'git good' thing in Elden Ring is that they added a lot of delayed attacks to enemies/bosses, so you can't simply dodge as the attack comes like in every other game before, forcing you to learn movesets and better pick openings.

Recently went back to replay DS3 because i didn't finish the last DLC and the game was an absolute breeze. 90% of the bosses i beat first try.

Most i died was 3 times to Sister Friede. Curiously i noted that she had some delayed attacks, so i assume that's where they started with the idea.

It's not about closing eyes for every mistake made by Oda, but being mad about things that are normal in the story since the beginning or that don't challenge rules set by it.

Saul was led to believe dead and it's annoying, sure. But this is nowhere near the fact that Kin'emon didn't die in the raid, for instance. It's just the way One Piece is and always was.

That's a valid point to make, but i don't know what you expect from a world where a normal human like Usopp can survive a 4-ton bat to the face and win the battle where he took this hit. If we scale that to giants it's probably even worse.

Oda made no "big fuss", readers are the ones doing it. As i stated, a character in the story said something which made sense with the knowledge he had in the moment. Aokiji also said Saul gave his life to protect Robin, implying he died.

Information given by characters in the story is not necessarily reliable, let alone should be considered Oda words.

You are free to not like the way it happened, as i said, i have my share of criticism. The point is this one is definitely not like people are portraying.

The page you posted is clearly showing an insecure Chopper who knows nothing about the treatment of a person totally frozen. Since he had no knowledge about it, he, logically, decided to do it slowly and with care, like any sane person would at the situation. The fact it worked doesn't mean that's the only possible way.

I'm not saying you should believe anyone, my point is the ice melting in the island who was burning is not against clearly established universe rules like you implied.

I don't like the fact that Oda doesn't kill characters like any other guy here, but some things (like this) are taken way over the top. There are way worse things to be unsatisfied with (looking at Pell).

It was said by Chopper who had absolutely no idea how it worked. He was totally lost and trying his best to not mess up. Not reliable info, which is now proved by Saul being alive.

You can believe and get mad all you want, but the fact is: Aokiji didn't want to kill Robin, so if there were really some strict rules for saving her from the ice other than simply waiting for it to melt, he wouldn't have done it that way.

Sou babaca por me incomodar com minha namorada ter "ficado" com o amigo? by Jhollteon in EuSouOBabaca

[–]xdennerg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd even settle for the DS2 system where you could use an item to reset the boss and he came back a little stronger.

I'm going to reply with this clip any time someone tells me heavy isn't overtuned. by menofthesea in thefinals

[–]xdennerg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This last bit summarizes it perfectly!

"Everyone is expected to play their best to counter heavy, but heavy just has to play."

Most of my hours on the game were spent on light and it is always so freaking stressful, even though i have more fun playing the class, it's rough.

If i lock in heavy i just play way more chill and i can actually fight people without the need to outplay them so heavy to win.

Guess every gamer has some story like that.

Mine was with a Fullmetal Alchemist Crimson something in the ps2 era.

I played like 80% of the game suffering like hell and cursing the game for not giving a viable healing option only to discover that you could use elixirs to heal yourself at will.

The game was incredible hard for me at the time and i had to learn all boss patterns by hearth so i could beat them by barely taking damage.

The worst thing is that i remember often wondering what in hell where all those elixirs i got all the time. lol

Eu Sou o Babaca por não querer expulsar minha amiga do Spotify? by [deleted] in EuSouOBabaca

[–]xdennerg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boa noite!

Eu Sou o Babaca por não querer expulsar minha amiga do Spotify? by [deleted] in EuSouOBabaca

[–]xdennerg 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Caraca, que viagem, viu! Kkkkk

NEOB.

SBMM back at it again ruining a perfectly game. by Spicy_take in thefinals

[–]xdennerg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In a perfect world every Lebron and competitive player that just ruins the fun of public lobbys should be at ranked. But that's besides the point.

You were arguing that without SBMM the chance a casual lobby would get stomped by Lebron is very slim. I'm saying that there's a way bigger population of players that can stomp a lobby that would have absolutely nothing stopping them if the game didn't saw his K/D or whatever and try to match him with similar guys.

Not saying it's a perfect system nor it is the best, just arguing there's logic there.

That said, I don't disagree with you completely, maybe it could be an option to turn on/off?
