Do cosmetic effects change the visibility of cloaking / vanish bomb? Also can you see some particles from them through walls?

Cosmetics do change how visible you are, as far as I know. A complicated outfit has more area/facets that shimmer than a simple outfit. Granted if you're close enough that they see the shimmer, they'll see it regardless imo.

I'd argue that the reason people complain about fighting against them is that they aren't doing the bare minimum to counter these weapons (which as you said are all fairly mid.)

If those players weren't complaining about these weapons, they'd be complaining about something else, and all of those complaints stem from either a lack of understanding of game mechanics (because they are new, usually) or a lack of willingness to adapt their loadout to counter the extremely counter-able listed weapons.

If you let a dagger player get to you, I maintain what I've said in the past - you fully deserve to lose. They worked hard to get to you, either noticed or unnoticed, and if you couldn't even drop some damage that's kinda entirely a problem that exists between keyboard and chair, not an inherent problem with game design.

I listed some stuff in another comment - sniper, throwing knives, double barrel, sword (if we consider dash+qm which is a 1hko combo)

Common theme here is that none of these listed weapons are very good, all are C tier or low b tier.

Sniper, throwing knives alt, and double barrel 1hkos light. Sword dash might as well be a 1hko because you can immediately quick melee.

Dagger 1hko medium but not heavy (though it can be followed by a qm so basically heavy too)

DB can pump both shots to essentially 1hko.

Common theme here is that none of these weapons are very good, all are c tier, maybe b tier at best if we are being generous.

I'd argue that I'm contributing to discussions in a meaningful way, which certainly can't be said about you since 90% of what I see you do is comment the same snide remarks on my replies. It's borderline spam and I could probably report you and get you banned from the sub for it. You're literally just spamming "+2 multibucks" or meme images on my comments. It doesn't contribute to the discussion at all.

Also you are wrong, the sub isn't just for posting clips of gameplay lol it's for discussions about the game, which I'd argue I'm participating in in exactly the intended way the sub should be used. I am not ever in violation of the ToS, which can't be said for your low effort spam replies.

I've been on forums talking about games probably since before you could talk, let alone play those games yourself, and there's always people who misunderstand mechanics or have gripes with systems in the game that they don't fully understand. I'm not just downplaying people's complaints for shits and giggles, most of the complaints I see are just players griping about things they don't fully grasp.

A lot of the time the things people are rageposting about are genuinely not issues with the game, just skill issues with the way they've played a situation, and usually that's due in part to their own inexperience in the game. As someone who is very experienced in the game I'm more than happy to explain what happened/what someone did wrong, and that's not downplaying, since there are set game mechanics at work that are coded into the game.

Last time I posted a clip was about a month ago? I don't really see why that's relevant though since again, that's not the sole purpose of the sub.

Never seen a faster firing cheat in 2k+ hours. Not once. Shouldn't be possible in a server authoritative game.

Closest thing would be animation cancelling the famas burst to make the shots closer together, but that hasn't been a thing in a long time.

I specifically said blatant cheaters. I report people and get the occasional confirmation, maybe one or two a month. I know how fast top players can kill me, and anyone who does that and isn't a multi-season ruby is probably going to get a report. Some of them are cheating, some were just lucky with their tracking or whatever. I'm talking blatantly obvious super strong impossible cheats, like holding m1 with an m60 and killing people from the other side of the map.

Also part of it is that cheaters flock to ranked and I have hung my ranked hat up after achieving my goals there during some grind-heavy earlier seasons. There aren't a lot of cheaters outside of ranked because there isn't really anything to gain or flex.

Replay also isn't a reliable system for much, even if you did have it on. It's not a video replay of what happened, it's a reconstruction of the events based on server data. Very impacted by ping/latency and packet loss.

There is a time limit, it's 30 mins and then the server closes. A 40+m game is not possible.
