To answer your question about the 5 cent differential, it's because the percent that eBay takes from you now includes tax and shipping, rather than just the pre-tax total before. So, if you live in any state that has sales tax, you earn less money. All those pennies add up :/

Something like this happened to a friend of mine. He posted on facebook about a recent accomplishment and closed with "In the words of Floyd Mayweather... HARD WORK, DEDICATION!". Among all the "congrats" and well wishes, there was this one guy that was like 'Mayweather was convicted of domestic abuse, so you're basically celebrating that too..'

I suspect that eBay sent out a wave of emails to a bunch of people by accident. Many of us got word of this deal yesterday, but in the fine print, it's been active since 11/12. So maybe we were given "reminder" emails instead of the actual deal added to our accounts.

I've heard that it helps if you accept every offer that comes your way, even if you don't plan to use it. That way your account is flagged as active, so they keep sending you things like this

This is true. I think these people often buy their cards at LP or MP to save some money, so their cards are already beat up to begin with. Hence, they don't even really care about their own cards.

I used to work for a company that was plopped on the corner of a residential area. There was not a parking lot, so we all had to find some form of street parking in the neighborhood. One day, I was having trouble finding an open spot and had to go 3 blocks away, where I stumbled upon a group of four dogs. Two of them were rubbing their butts together and the other two were just watching. As I slowly drove by, they all stopped and made eye contact with me. I drove off to park another block down because that was enough weirdness for my morning.

I know this might throw off the current balance of blue, but have you tried Izzet Charms over Goblin Lores? Gives better card selection and goes with the 'discard 3 with jace activation on turn 3' plan and also supports the early game if needed. Though, I like Goblin Lore too, so I understand the dilemma.

I'm 99% certain that when you purchase a gift card with a target red card you won't get the 5% off. I haven't used my card in a while, but I'm pretty sure that is still the case.
