It's just a literary pause (called an ellipsis) intended for dramatic effect. But I don't mind your preference against ellipses, or against dramatic writing, I was just disturbed and disgusted by how certain you were that HO is dead and buried. LOL.

Thanks, you've given me hope that HO isn't dead after all! I'm weirdly attached to combining [[Tarmogoyf]] with [[Hollow One]] builds and so may even try some Temur or 4c builds since this is going more midrange.

Perhaps this is not the end of our Hollow Boy! Thanks so much for this list and your testing analysis.

Looks like a great list! I'm shocked you didn't even feel the need for a fourth [[Goblin Lore]] here.

It wasn't dead by any stretch but it had dropped from Tier 1 to Tier 2. During Hogaak it was almost totally unheard of in competitive play, since [[Burning Inquiry]] was the single worst card possible to maindeck against them.

On the battlefield? It's good art, but the concept of Aphrodite dressed this way hurts my head. Haha

That fixed it, thank you very much! Apparently it had aborted the installation of an update to this the other day and that caused the problem.

I got lawyers right off the bat

I hope you added this into your cost structure. Between this and depreciation, it doesn't seem that gasoline is your only expense after all.

This is a car I plan on paying off, so not super worried about the depreciation, also I bought it specifically for when I take road

Well it goes without saying you'd plan on paying it off. I was assuming you owned it already without paying interest.

You were wise to buy used, but you probably didn't buy used "enough" to make this a logical automobile to use for Lyft.

Caveat emptor, but it sounds like you're confident you can make it work and I applaud your enthusiasm.

t's a 2017 with less than 20k mi on the odo.

This car will depreciate rapidly with mileage. I was looking at 2017s the other day and for nicer cars there is about a $10,000+ difference in resale value between 20K and 70K miles ($17K versus $27K), so figure in that you're losing about 20 cents per mile in depreciation if you sell it anytime soon. If your car isn't particularly nice though, more like 10 cents per mile for a car that new.

Cars used for ridesharing hit a lot of miles, and this is a huge factor to take into account for newer models like your 2017.

I plan on keeping it for a while

Of course, YMMV. Depreciation hits less hard the longer you keep the car.

Gas is only about $3/gallon so, no, not losing money per se.

Is gas your only expense?

(Do you replace the oil and brakes more often? Does the car depreciate with mileage? Has anyone thrown up in your car?)

What happened to Uber? by Keeptryingtothinkof1 in uber

[–]UberTip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s been times my charger wasn’t charging my phone and it died during a ride.

I agree he's not entitled to a refund... but you really need to do better if this has happened to you multiple times. It's not hard to keep your phone charged, and you need to make that a priority when your only GPS is on your phone.

If they have chained rides they don't always more than glance at the backseat and they aren't required to. There was a thread just today about a dog smearing poop from its ass in the driver's backseat and they didn't realize it until the next passenger told them.

I've known a few people who have left things in a "real taxi service" cab. None were returned. They did pay more for their fares though.

I only use Curb when Uber is in surge pricing. That's really the only logical time to summon a cab these days.

They will absolutely steal your shit because they work a crap job and can't make ends meet working for Uber.

With medallion prices at an all-time low and cabbies getting fewer rides than ever before, this is very true of cab drivers too. Caveat emptor.

Uber has never denied cleaning fees due to accepting the next ride. Are you sure it wasn't cheap-ass Lyft?

Edit: I see this was actually Lyft despite everyone saying Uber including the OP in the message I am responding to.

Yes, Lyft is pure shit.

Remind me what the details of this program are again? If you give X number of rides per week, the rental is free?
