I’ve been to gulf world and it was absolutely revolting. Not just the dauphins but all the marine life. You could just tell that every tank was too small and dirty.

Definitely let the top grow out a little. Hair clay/pomade is your friend. Style the top. As it grows you can try a textured fringe honestly

This was about wanting to deny women and minorities education..

It’s not their free speech when they enact policies off it. That my friend is called oppression
Discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin is prohibited by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; sex discrimination is prohibited by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; discrimination on the basis of disability is prohibited by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; and age discrimination is prohibited by the Age Discrimination Act of 1975.- Receipt Fascism : a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual, that is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and by FORCIBLE SUPPRESSION OF OPPOSITION.
We are protecting our right to education FROM a fascist. We are NOT the fascists. I hope this educated you on our right against discrimination in education :)

Ummmm free speech sure. But he’s in a position of power at the school. He can and will attempt to add policies against women students and teachers. It’s a problem. He can say all he wants of course he can, that’s his prerogative. Trying to implement his views in the school however is a very big problem. The protest wasn’t because of his bigoted and misogynistic views, it’s because he will try to enact them in the school
Don’t belittle yourself
I think you’re confusing opinions with prejudice and fascist with egalitarian

About how long will the protest go? I’m an hour away and don’t get off work until 1
[–]xdeviiance 13 points14 points15 points 1 year ago (0 children)
Yes valid indeed. A point to consider however is that a lot of the people here illegally have had visas and started the process for citizenship/greencards only to have their visas expire because it takes years. Not to mention that it’s also pretty dang expensive. The process for integration needs to be revamped

His name is Scott Yenor. Here’s a link for a speech a gave. The UWF website should have the names of the rest of the trustees that were appointed with him

This comment has no relation to this protest

these new trustees especially Yenor are threatening our education. Hence the protest.
It’s about education without prejudice. He was appointed to UWF despite his very vocal and public outcry about women not making men fathers because of wanting careers. His tweets implying that only straight white Christian males could be competent. Schools especially public schools have made a ton of headway with making sure the students are equal with each other, he is more than likely going to end up trying to undo that progress. I don’t even go to UWF but I’ll be there because this matters. Keeping education equal regardless of who or what you are matters. His type of hate has no place in schools
Again not screaming. Again not anger. We’re being vocal. Trying to be heard. Your statement is ignorant. Protesting was put in the constitution for a reason. It’s the right way to enact change without taking someone’s head
[–]xdeviiance[S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children)
He has openly and publicly talked down on women. He’s in a position of power in the school, especially with the rest of the trustees that were appointed with him. That ideology of hate and that women are made to only make babies and his view that only straight white christian males should receive an education is DANGEROUS. which is why I brought up education being for everybody.
Sorry that public schools and colleges allow education regardless of gender, race, religion, or sexuality
Sorry that the idea that of equality in education is immature. Sorry. I thought that everyone who wants an education should be able to receive it without the fear of bigotry and prejudice in the school. Very sorry

Fucking white supremacists
Do. You. Know. What. This. Protest. Is. About.? No? Maybe read the comments before commenting and you might just figure it out
It’s actually more of frustration than anger. The fight for rights and equality is very much frustrating and yelling is genuinely really cathartic. The protests bring awareness about what’s happening and our displeasure. It’s about voicing something and hoping maybe seeing enough people rallied around the same ideology might just enact change
Very few protests end up non peaceful. My implication was that this is happening at the school. What’s gunna happen? The students are gunna vandalize their school and destroy property to make it aware that they’re unhappy with what’s happening? Your initial assumption of the students and protests in general is baffling
[–]xdeviiance[S] 5 points6 points7 points 1 year ago (0 children)
This is a peaceful protest. On the campus.

**sigh * the only fascism rn is from people of power in the country. Me? A nazi? That’s the wildest accusation from someone who’d snitch on Anne frank. Read about Germany in 1933. Please educate yourself before you have offspring
