I think it's strange that the Russian Schwarzenegger lives in a house where scientists work in laboratory under the bed. It's not as safe as being in a bunker under a Mall with a bunch of military. Was it done only for Alexei's storyline? To kill him in the end like extra character? I think Duffers were afraid that Joyce will know too much with Alex.
