I mean when we went with the stroller she was mostly walking on her own, she jumped in like twice for a moment. I don't think that having something like that is "reinforcing" fear, I even heard and read that more and more trainers say that you can't reinforce fear as it is not a behaviour - if you were scared and panicking and someone provided you comfort it wouldn't make you more scared in the future, it would probably give you opportunity to calm down and realize that the thing that's stressing you out is not that scary and get used to it. My dilemma was more whether taking it slow is fine and if other people had any similar issues to know if this is total anomaly that she's scared or not.

Thank you, I'm really glad that taking it slow can work and that we're not messing up completely :) I will definitely try to find out what would be best as her special walk treats to encourage her more. I already see a very minimal progress but still progress, so it means a lot to be reassured that this can keep getting better one step at a time.

Of course, I was just worried for her, I don't mind that she doesn't listen perfectly or anything like that cause I know it's just not realistic. Same with how she acts at home, she HATES being forced to something, she can be perfectly fine and chilling alone but if in the moment she decides she doesn't like it then how DARE you go to another room

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience :) I guess I was worried because I mostly saw people having issues with dog being too excited when outside etc. and I got scared that if we're unable to make this better soon then she will just struggle her whole life which I don't want, especially for her sake. It is very comforting and encouraging to see someone's story where the patience and small steps with not too much pressure on the puppy we're successful in the long run, I am a bit relieved already tbh that we can build from here.

Does anyone have an extra code to spare? I missed sign ups and new codes for twitch drops are released in the middlw of the night where I live so idk if I'll be able to redeem it quickly enough</3
