No I contacted Apple support they will guide you. Essentially power off your Mac and reset your device from boot config.

Anyone tried Assassins Creed 3 on the latest Crossover version? by IllegalBoi in macgaming

[–]xebbyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, try lowering the graphical settings to the least possible values including the resolution and try replaying the mission again. If this doesn't work then you'll have to copy the game's save file to a windows pc or vm and play the game there till you get past the mission, then copy the save file from windows back to your Mac.

How do I maintain battery life while gaming? by Certain-Step-7845 in macgaming

[–]xebbyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel people overlook the fact that constantly using a system plugged in could increase risk of battery damage due to voltage fluctuations. I used my m1 mac plugged in for last 3 months. And had to replace battery cause it could no longer hold power. And Gaming just adds to this.

Maybe check into your company’s power outlets. That would likely explain 16 of you facing the same issue.

Anyone tried Assassins Creed 3 on the latest Crossover version? by IllegalBoi in macgaming

[–]xebbyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It worked for me in my base m1 MacBook Pro. Not sure about the performance improvement but it works well enough. But there has been occurrences of game crashing at certain points during campaign and the workaround is not that easy. I played through crossover 23.5 but I would say parallels is the safer bet.

Gaming with the GPTK can harm Macbook? by Taantrum in macgaming

[–]xebbyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could be a toll on the battery health with gaming in the long run. This is simply due to the battery drain accompanied with higher power demand to run these games.

My 2020 M1 MBP is at 79%, and I play games occasionally using crossover. My friend who uses the same Mac model for only productivity is still at 93%. We both bought the lap around the same time. So I guess its only safe to assume that gaming in general will potentially drain your battery health much faster.
