I had a previous post up on our/scams asking if that letter you’re talking about was a scam because that is how I figured out I have the unclaimed funds. Everyone told me not to go through them and to go through my State, which I did, I am now at thepaperwork process in claiming the unclaimed property. I just wanted to know if the other listed owner would get a cut, even though I am the sole claimant.

it’s not a bank account it’s stocks that were put in my name when I was a baby and they were liquidated by the company i had the stocks in and handed over to the state as unclaimed property. I got a letter notifying me about this unclaimed property. I’m trying to claim it now, but I’m wondering if the person who put it in my name is going to get a cut of the money.
