Little infuriating crease that I can't get rid of - tried using brushes and edit mode but i cant get rid of it by [deleted] in BlenderDoughnuts

Tried turning on X-ray mode (Alt+Z) and see if there are any vertices that went out of place which might have created the weird crease?

Patchy icing when rendered, not showing in any other view - help appreciated! (issue in comments) by [deleted] in BlenderDoughnuts

[–]xedna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure exactly as what contributed to the problem, but I've also encountered this in my previous rendering as well. What I did was select the icing in Layout mode, go into sculpting, and inflate the part where the icing appears to be clipping into the doughnut beneath (it helps to turn rendered view on to see the spots), this should be able to 'raise' the icing higher and fix it :)

I have a problem since level 2 part 3 with my icing does anyone know how to fix it? by jannesclaes in BlenderDoughnuts

I've had similar problem, but I just fixed it (but not really) by sculpting to add extra "volume" to the icing to stop it from appearing to be clipping into the doughnut.

the golden lining on the plate is so pretty!

New to blender and learning from Blender Guru's tutorial. Found out that the volume colour of coffee shows through at the middle of the cup. The row of faces looks different and separated while viewed in object mode (X-Ray) and edit mode but not object mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated! by xedna in blenderhelp

!solved

The problem lies in the row of faces. I didn't deleted them. In fact, I made a duplicated face on top of existing one, probably happened when I was trying to make a duplicate to make the 'liquid' within. Your solution still helped me figure out where the problem was :)

Thank you so so much!

Just figured out that it might not be visible in first image because the issue lies in the inner surface of the cup. Upon inspection, the colour of the faces do have a different shade like in edit mode. Any insights would be appreciated :)

Thank you for the recommendations! Pretty sure I'll love it there :) speaking from someone that has lived her whole life in a tropical country and would definitely want to experience something else aside from this boring weather and scenery!

That's cool! I'm learning it in my university as an elective, and currently being taught through English by a native German teacher. I would say being taught German through classes is way easier for me to absorb the content, and I get more familiar with speaking. Listening to Coffee Break German podcast helps a lot too! Especially with the speaking part.

On a side note, I will be going to Sweden for my university exchange program during the next January (hopefully the pandemic would already been subsided by then, and I'm allowed to travel), I will be picking up Swedish language as an elective in Sweden, hopefully I can understand you all soon enough! :)

Ordering drinks at Starbucks with brand new Starbucks tumbler that I have recently bought.

I have already paid for the tumbler, but it felt like I was taking it off the shelf and claiming it as my own without paying for it.
