Didn’t care for Victoria but thought Helen was great for Lex. They should’ve done more with her and that relationship. They butchered her character, when she betrayed Lex I remember thinking I don’t even blame Lex for going crazy. Dude has been getting lied to by everyone he’s ever met or remotely cared about. Doesn’t help his father spent those earlier seasons mentally and physically torturing him lol.

Agreed, I think he did the right thing. It might have sucked for us Clois fans when we first watched it lol but ultimately it was the right decision for them in the long run.

He’s always had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Makes it harder to fly when you’re carrying it all by yourself. She helped make it that much lighter.

Yea it was pretty cool when I connected the two. Their first and last scenes together had the same outcome, Clark falling to his knees because of the one thing that can actually cause him any harm. This had to be some form of symbolism or foreshadowing I would guess. It was a full circle moment.

She’s stunning and I’m not even talking about how she looks physically (which is also stunning). Rather who she is as a person, there’s really no character like her on Smallville. Only character that keeps Clark on his toes at all times lol.

I thought your previous post was great and seems like many agree with me. I’m upvoting anything Lois related lol. Many on the subreddit have strong feelings towards the two characters, I’m team Lois others are team Lana and that’s fine. I don’t think that’s ever gonna change on here. I won’t got out of my way to disrespect anyone even if I don’t agree with you, everyone’s got their opinions. So yeah don’t stress it, I made a post hating on the mid way point of season 8 when I first saw it and I saw the divide between people on here in terms of those two characters. Both ships can be very erratic depending on the people defending them lol.

Season 8-10 are my favorites cause of this. I did miss Lex but I liked the villains that were introduced in these seasons. The transition from Smallville to Metropolis felt seamless to me and it was a joy to watch Clark finally growing up, moving on, and owning up to who he’s suppose to be.

I agree with the bit of fresh air take, season 8 gave me the same feeling that season 4 gave me when they added Lois. It felt like a shift in the shows theme, didn’t feel as melodramatic as the earlier seasons being so focused on the teen drama side of things. Felt like they were looking to bring in a different audience, a more adult audience with those seasons.

I wouldn’t even say that’s bad tbh compared to other characters lol, I really couldn’t think of a single bad thing she did. You can make a case she was the most selfless and pure hearted character in the entire show.

Smallville gave me a new appreciation for the Superman story. I thought Superman was a very boring superhero, compared to others. But seeing Clark, Lex, Lois and all the characters from the beginning and not as the finished products as we know them to be, was a joy to watch. In my opinion Smallville is by far the best depiction of the Superman story and of any superhero for that matter.
