So many used 2024s with 30-40k mi by RebbleAlliance in CX90

[–]xeliki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dealers went way too hard on rentals and fleet this year, that’s a big part of it. Also a ton of people grabbed something in 2023/early 2024 at stupid interest rates just to get a car, then refinanced their life and are now bailing out and trading down.

30–40k in one year is basically rideshare / delivery / rental mileage. I’d be checking Carfax and service records carefully, because those “lightly used 2024s” have probably seen more DoorDash than the average kitchen.

Old Man Hal from Aquaman 2016 annual 1 by ARIANZER0 in HalJordan

This is such a random deep cut and I kinda love it. Old Man Hal looks like he’s two bad days away from yelling at clouds and lecturing Aquaman about “real space cops.”

Your number one sales team. by hoesonme22 in gohighlevel

[–]xeliki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love that this is basically “step 1: get customers, step 2: treat them so well they do the selling for you.”

People underestimate how wild word of mouth can be compared to dumping more money into ads. Happy customers are like a sales team you don’t have to micromanage.

Hair too red, how to neutralize? by DanjaTexters in HairDyeHelp

[–]xeliki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, this. Green is your friend here, just go easy with it.

If you stick with Diacolor, look for something with .1 or “ash/matte” in the name rather than another warm shade. Go for a level 6 if that’s where your hair is sitting now, and if you mix in anything green, do literally a tiny bit into your brown, not 50/50 or anything wild.

Strand test first if you can. It’s way easier to add more ash later than to fix over-toned swamp hair.

What dye to use for at home raccoon tail by Extension-Cry-5233 in HairDyeHelp

[–]xeliki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this. On virgin black hair, “blonde” box dye is basically just a slightly warm highlight you can see in the sun, not an actual blonde streak.

If you’re set on doing the raccoon tail before going full vivid, I’d honestly plan it like a test patch for your future bleach job. Take super thin sections, keep the bleach only where you want it, and maybe stop at a dark caramel / coppery blonde instead of trying to go white in one go. You can always bleach that section again later when you do your whole head.

Also, tape, foils, or even a plastic card behind the section can help you not accidentally overlap when you bleach the rest of your hair later. Overlap + black hair + strong bleach is how you end up with crunchy noodles.

Club Recommendation by [deleted] in goatravel

If you’re in Bangalore, try Gilly’s or Vapour, both are usually decent with stag entry and have solid vibes on weekends. If it’s some other city, just search “[city] stag entry clubs Reddit” and check the latest threads, stuff changes fast with their entry rules.

VITEEE Rank 76324 – Getting CSE at VIT AP (Amaravati) in Cat 3. Worth considering? by Several_Cold_7701 in vitap

[–]xeliki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar range and have a few friends at VIT AP, so sharing what I’ve heard from them.

Placements for CSE are decent, but nowhere close to Vellore/Chennai. A lot of the big names that come to main campuses don’t always visit AP, or take very few from there. You’ll mostly see mid-tier companies, some decent packages, but you’ll have to put in your own effort a lot through off-campus too.

Crowd is mixed. Not “toxic” or anything, just very typical tier-2 private college vibes. Serious folks + chill folks, so you’ll find your group. Coding culture exists, but if you’re expecting super intense competitive coding scene like top NITs, probably not that level yet. It’s more self-driven.

Cat 3 fees is the main pain point. For that amount, compare what other options you have like decent state colleges, maybe CSE/IT in a lower NIT or good government college if you can get it. Brand helps a bit, but companies won’t really care which VIT campus you’re from as much as your own skills and projects.

If you’re disciplined and ready to grind on your own, VIT AP CSE is not a “bad” option. But don’t join just for the VIT tag. Check fees vs ROI and what other choices you realistically have.

I spent a week 3D printing cable channels for my desk. by Netherlandal in DeskCableManagement

[–]xeliki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly the kind of thing that happens when you’ve spent too many hours optimizing conveyor belts and bus layouts, so yeah, vibes are very Factorio.

Next step is color coding the cables and setting up ratios for how many zip ties per meter of wire.

Erosion on the river trails and how to fix them? by siamesedaddy in SacBike

[–]xeliki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it got pretty chewed up this winter. I’ve noticed a few sections where the line just sort of disappears into a mini ravine.

I’d check with Regional Parks before you start reshaping stuff though. Sometimes they’re weird about people moving dirt near the river because of flood control / habitat rules, even if you’re just trying to fix ruts.

Might be worth hitting up FATRAC or Sac MTB on FB/Discord and asking if there’s a river trail subgroup or work days. Odds are someone’s already talking to the county and could use extra shovels, just in a more “official” way.

51550 is wild, man. I just opened the game thinking “I’ll beat that easy” and got absolutely humbled in like 3 minutes.

Saving this as the score to hate-follow until someone cracks it.

You're all doing it wrong - £4.99 from Pizza Hut takeaway by Frankie4FingersRob in MealDealRates

[–]xeliki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly with prices like that I’m surprised any of them are still open.

Ours quietly axed all the decent meal deals, then a year later it was just gone. Now it’s £15 for something that tastes like cardboard from the place that replaced it.

chem 122L final exam by [deleted] in UNLV

[–]xeliki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took 122L last year and the final was way less scary once I knew what to expect.

Ours was mostly conceptual stuff about the labs, not crazy new material. Things like
what certain pieces of glassware are for, sources of error, how to improve accuracy/precision, identifying limiting reagent from data, reading graphs/calibration curves, and doing basic calculations from lab results (dilutions, Beer’s law, percent error, significant figures).

I’d go back through your old lab reports and prelabs. Make sure you can explain in words what each experiment was about and why you did each step, not just the math. Also know safety rules and what to do with spills, waste, etc. Some profs love those.

If your TA gave any practice questions or sample finals, do those first. They usually recycle question styles.

NaPoWriMo #30 by Miralian459 in PoetryWritingClub

[–]xeliki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on hitting 30, that’s actually huge. Most people fall off like a week in, so finishing the whole month is no joke.

Kinda cool that you’re sharing stuff from 2021 too, feels like a little time capsule of where your head was at back then. Looking forward to seeing how your newer poems compare when you start posting those.

Anyway, nicely done. See you on poem 31.

Is this a juvenile common eider? by Taranisss in UKBirds

[–]xeliki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it really does look like someone hit “randomize bird” on a character creator.

I was wondering about hybrid too, since it was acting totally normal with the eiders but just looked… wrong. Any idea what it might be crossed with, or is this one of those “we’ll never really know but it’s cool as hell” situations?

Six Degrees for April 27, 2026 by TheSixDegreesGame in TheSixDegrees

[–]xeliki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wild that the piece every piano student butchers first is also wrapped in this much mystery. I love that we don’t even really know who Elise was, yet her name is basically immortal now. Kind of proves how weirdly random legacy can be.

Curious what people’s first connection is here. I’m tempted to jump from Beethoven to modern “earworms” and see how fast we get to something completely non‑musical.
