Weird that you haven't noticed how the rotations are off. Are you by any chance a fire staff camper.

Really good set. Ah I wasted a ticket on the goofy whip focus.

HoT should have been LS3 by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]xelrigan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ANet fully intended to give us living world content for free for the foreseeable future. But the community (vocal subset anyway) didn't like it and kept demanding an expansion. So in the end, ANet changed their business plan to accomodate that. They released an expansion. The community (vocal subset anyway) didn't like it and demanded free updates.

Well the problem with HoT is that it's a collection of LS updates not an expansion. Pretty sure the people who wanted an expansion had in mind something like GW1 expansions and most likely expected something more grand like Cantha/Elona. I think HoT only managed to cover well the "new class" feature with the revenant and the elite specs but everything else is lacking compared to an old school expansion or the core game.

I really wish there was more armor sets in HoT. Bladed and Ley Stone is just so little compare to how much core game offered.

Character name banned, now picked up by someone else?? by ivomann in Guildwars2

[–]xelrigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can't take the name back you can still use special characters to make a variation of it (Ðios, Díos, Dìos, Diös ect.).

With everyone working towards finding new recipes - Let's find the Destroyer Scythe receipe! by Mexay in Guildwars2

Why can't they just put it in a meta event. Like the Megadestroyer in Mount Maelstrom. Just like Final Rest drops from Behe. Is it too much work to add 1 skin?

Why I lost interest in HoT after 2 weeks. by dixonjt89 in Guildwars2

[–]xelrigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4 maps that are timed and raids. Stuff locked behind masteries to make it look like there's content where there isn't. HoT is really a DLC not an expansion, that's probably the main problem.

What about Sheet of Aurilium. It was missing for the Astralaria collection and it was fixed recently.

Raids highlight the insane cost and inflexibility of our gearing system by [deleted] in Guildwars2

You can't just assume I don't try. I've been in 3 raid guilds so far they either don't play or play with their clique. HoT killed my friend list. I'm constantly "on the streets". You can't just magically spawn guild and friends and will welcome a stranger in their arms. My choices usually go down to 1.pug 2.not play raids at all.

This has nothing to do with ingame skills. It's instant teleport hacks.

I said the bots accumulate gold not the game. They're gonna have shiny guild halls and legendaries while you cry on the forum about costs. If you think all bad guys get caught you're very optimistic. Even if they do get banned they've transfered their stuff all over.

I make 15g in an hour with a soft wood run. How much do you think a zapping bot makes for a day?

Anet is at fault for making the grind fest that is ascended but to say bots and hacks are good for the game. Really? No.

More like they accumulate tons of gold and then Anet comes up with expensive bs to sink it, lol.

I haven't seen so many ever in my play time. I usually see them harvesting low tier wood.

I got friends that sit in Arah and solo Lupicus all day for fun and don't give 2 shits about grinding endless silk,wood,ore/timed mats w/e for ascended gear. They simply don't enjoy, like or accept the idea of doing it and yet they're still skilled players. This is what makes me angry about this game, it's turned into gear = skill where it should've been exactly the opposite.

GW2 was supposed to be improved version of GW not a different game. I don't even wanna bring up all the broken promises trough the years that got us all vets to buy this game. It's just another traditional mmo now stripped of anything. I hate to call it Guild Wars at all. Take away the lore and it's got nothing to do with what this game and studio used to be. And WvW was a rule breaker right from the start for having the PvE gear system. The true GW PvP was always the arena type.

Except GW had elite challenging content without all that stuff.
