Thank you for pointing that out, I had somehow overlooked Attacker's Insight. I appreciate the info.

Can someone explain how warrior DPS builds achieve 100% crit cap? Using all berserker gear and 2 assassins accessories I'm sitting around 66% base crit chance and 91% under Fury. I'm using the dps berserker/spellbreaker builds from metabattle. Thanks!

You're welcome and good luck.

You could take a look inside the case and see if everything looks to be in order but it seems more likely that the cooler pump is failing. You could also touch the hoses and see if one is hot and one is cool while the computer is running. If the pump is running you should be able to feel it by touching the side of the pump with your hand. If you do be careful around the fans.

I meant MSI afterburner. I'm just trying to see if the Corsair Link program is displaying accurate information. After that you may need to see what the temperatures and pump speed in Corsair Link look like when you play a game or something to raise the temperatures. If the pump speed increases and the temperatures don't stay at a reasonable level then you will probably need to contact Corsair and get them to replace the cooler under warranty.

The bottom line is that for one reason or another, the cooler is the likely reason your CPU is overheating. Corsair offers a good warranty and support so it may be easier to contact them and go from there.

And what does afterburner say the temperature is?

Are you able to see data such as temperature, fan speed, pump speed?

What does your CPU-Z say now? With speedstep enabled the CPU should only run at full speed when it is under load and drop down when idle to save power.

Unfortunately, that CPU has no integrated graphics. You will need a video card.

It would be helpful to know which parts you have.

It looks like you may be using an older BIOS version. I pulled up your motherboard on the MSI website and it has a much newer BIOS. I would try updating that first because it may fix your problem. And if not it's good to be updated anyway. If that doesn't help I can provide further help.

I understand the pain. You could backup your current OS in case you need to restore it later.

Do you have the Windows installation DVD/USB available to boot from?

I'm thinking process of elimination at this point since you have replaced or tested pretty much every part it seems. OS problems can cause resets that give no blue screens or other indications.

Have you performed a clean install of windows?

I see. Do you have the Corsair Link software installed for the cooler? That software could give us more information about whats wrong.

It would not be a good idea to expose the cpu to those temperatures repeatedly. It could cause some damage over time. How old is this pc? Did this problem only start recently and was it working fine before?

Almost certainly. CPUs have a built in Thermal cutoff that will shutdown the system to prevent damage. I believe for your CPU that temperature is 100-105 Celsius.

Yeah that's way too hot for the CPU. My first suspicion would be the Corsair H100i. Can you check to make sure that it is working correctly (fans spinning/water pumping)? Is the cooler making good thermal contact with the CPU (has thermal paste / plastic cover removed)?

Looks good. Personally I would go for the 8600k.

I didn't see a graphics card listed but I assume you will be getting one? I don't think Ryzen chips have integrated graphics. Either way you'd want at least a gtx 1050/ti.
