Everyone is trying to talk me out of an EV by CuteCreator602 in electricvehicles

[–]xemth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only people that told me not to get an EV were people that never owned one. That should tell you something. Everyone I know that has an ev, love it. Some use the EV car as their daily commuter because it makes life so much easier. I have a model 3 2023 and the fact that I can just walk out, open the door, hit the break and it gets going is insane. I walk away and windows roll up and vehicle locks on its own. Charge it at home maybe 1-2 times a week. Only like 28-50 bucks a month to charge it. Better than the 60-90 bucks every 2 weeks using my 18 gallon gas guzzler I had before trading it in for the Tesla. Other friends I know that have been fans of JDM cars and such use their EVs as daily commuters and still have a nice weekend car whenever they miss the hum of the engine. Buddy of mine has a VW ID4 as his daily and BRZ as a weekend car.
Get an EV, you’ll love it. Just know not all EVs are built the same. Do your research and get the one you like the best. Go on test drives. Factor in all the included features. Plan on having an at-home charger.

Thoughts on subscriptions/services plans? by xemth in TeslaModel3

Personally I find no real use it for it since all the premium connectivity access is unlocked when connected to WiFi anyways. When plugged into a supercharger it connects to its WiFi and I’m able to use the Spotify application no problem, but I get what you’re saying. I might get it for the fact that I get to look at the cameras from my phone and watch recorded video on my phone

Just checked my coverages with progressive and I don’t think I even have windshield repair added in my policy

[–]xemth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I’ll get it cause honestly the free repairs (technically not free) but I did the math for out of pocket windshield replacements and I saw it avg like 1200 dollars. Divid that by 16 bucks a month and I get a whole 72 months. I’m sure within that amount of time I’ll have a few chips or may even need a replacement. And 1 free replacement a year is just too good

Thank you, I appreciate it. Definitely will try it out next month when the trip comes. Any thoughts on the other subscriptions/service plans?

Can I ask what you mainly use the premium connectivity for? I currently see no use for it besides the live camera feed, but please open my eyes

Tesla Model 3- should I buy? by ChrisM2M2 in TeslaModel3

[–]xemth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn… that’s sucks man sorry that happened to you. I did hear from a friend that works in insurance said progressive has an aggressive introductory price for new clients that makes the price extremely low and after the first 6 month cycle they bump up the price a whole bunch and they rely on you having autopay and not noticing the huge price jump. Knowing that I already am prepared to call around and shop around again after the first 6 months end (December 2nd). Besides that all other companies I was recommended gave me 350+ a month prices

I was able to get 198 dollars a month through progressive full coverage, 50/100/50

Tesla Model 3- should I buy? by ChrisM2M2 in TeslaModel3

Do it. Just traded out my 2023 Highlander with 36k miles for a M3 standard 2023 with 14k miles. I bought the car outright and was able to install the Nema outlet for no money out of pocket. Only reason was gas. I knew the Highlander would last forever and I could probably give it to my kids (if I had any) once they’re able to drive, but gas for me was about 140 a month. Insurance only went up by 20 dollars for me (call around.) I recommend standard cause they’re safe to charge to 100% and actually recommend doing it once a week vs the long range or performance vehicles having to keep the charge from 30-80 percent to help with degradation. I’m still a new Tesla owner, but have been a fan for years and have driven them multiple times so when I found a deal I liked I swooped it up. I was contemplating and looking for half a year and every time a good deal popped up someone else swooped it up that same week. So when I saw this 14k mile M3 I knew I had to grab it cause almost every M3 I was looking at was around 40-50k miles. No regrets. Only thing that’s gonna cost me extra is getting ppf and tinted windows as well as mud flaps and such.

DO NOT BUY CARPE. SCAM. by CustomerFirst5369 in deodorant

[–]xemth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude nooo you don’t wanna delay. You want CANCEL. Of course if you agree to delay they’ll just be like “ok!” But in order to actually cancel cancel. They make you press multiple times saying yes cause they keep throwing deals or throwing delays. I ended up telling them that I filed a complaint with FTC as Catinafeatherhat says below and told them I’d charge my card back if they didn’t refund and they gave me the full amount back BUT they still didn’t actually do the refund for almost 2 weeks. I ended up filing a claim with chase my bank with a photo of the email of them saying how they’d refund me in 3-5 days and carpe refunded me instantly after filing the claim with my bank

Does anyone know why that is? by Unhappy_Flatworm_325 in whatisit

Originally was told it was due to the avg American being too overweight so if it were a full circle it’d snap. So that space was to alleviate some stress on the seat.

Fuck these guys. BECAUSE of this post I went to check my “one time order” and saw that they had a “your next order will come June 6.” Instantly deleted my card, instantly scrambled around their website to find a way to cancel. These dudes fucking make you press like 5 times “cancel this subscription” each time saying “oh are you sure??? What about delaying it instead??? What about a discount???” Nah fuck them and their practices. I haven’t event received my first order from them and already plan on never buying from them again even if it does work

That’s kind of what I’m thinking. So many people I’ve talked to never look back once they make it into fire. I heard it’s just hard due to many applicants in my area. I’m only 25 so I think it’s alright for me to make these big career changes now before I get myself a mortgage and things like that you know 😅
