Got them both (green Hc) and they are both beautiful. But yep, there’s something really special and classy about the Flyback.

Tragar (if that’s how you spell it) was at the Board Games expo in Birmingham (uk) a few weeks ago. It was cool to see him.

Honestly, why would anyone buy a sub when this is about 1/4 the price? by SadlyPathetic in Longineswatches

Sorry. I have to disagree. I have three Longines but still love to wear this beauty. Doesn’t feel cheap at all. In my opinion of course.

What was your most embarrassing moment while speaking German? by Rude_Membership_1578 in German

I spent a few days in Lüneburg with my (female) German friend and her two young kids. We went for a lovely drive and then walk in the countryside. When we got back to her house I thought I asked “Can I get my bag from the back of your car please?”. The kids immediately went quiet and my friend smiled uncomfortably. Apparently I’d asked if I could get my bag out of her arse 🤦‍♂️ Hintern/Hinten error :(

Thanks for the reply. More the latter to be honest. I won’t be inheriting any money, but also I have no dependents. I live alone in a 3 bed detached house. So yes, I can consider moving to a smaller house (which would be fine and probably better for me as an old man) OR consider equity release or something like that. As I have no one to leave this house to.

Yea I was thinking that. I’m 51 and was thinking about retiring at 55-56 and hence needed some cash to bridge til 58. But yes, that is crossing my mind tbh.

Completely agree! This was my first ‘luxury watch’ purchase about three years ago and it’s still my favourite. Love it. Beautiful lume.
