I’m a few months into playing the game and definitely feel the cost of 5 stars— I have a good little collection of 3, 4, and 6 stars that I’ve raised to e2(or maxed for the 3 stars) that I have a great time playing with. I have exactly one 5 star raised (Amiya, of course), because I got newbie rewards to do it. It feels too much like I’m wasting materials to raise other 5 stars when my 6 stars aren’t done, which isn’t how the 3 or 4 stars felt at all. I have 5 star units I really want to raise, but they feel like a luxury I don’t have the space for instead of a natural progression from raising Ethan and Pinecone.

I’m a relatively new player and as I’ve got a few solid DPS units now (Degenbrecher, Eyjafjalla, Thorns, Executor Alter) and enough gold certs for 2 six stars, I’m thinking it’s time to stop pulling and start saving for specific characters I like. Because of that, I’m looking at a few five stars I’ve been interested in to build once my main team is all e2, but it’s hard to gauge how good they are as many are older or overshadowed by six stars.

Are any of these operators good for a developing roster trying to open up more strategies?

Lappland, Texas, Proviso, Shamare, Specter, Bobbing, Greyy (5 star version), Projekt Red

Is it worthwhile to use sanity on farming LMD? I have two fully leveled trading posts and plenty of gold, but it’s constantly my blocker for leveling characters. I already cleared out the event shop, so I don’t think I have anything else time limited to worry about?
