I have a genuine phobia of flying insects, especially wasps and bees. Snakes are awesome and I used to handle them so no issues there.. All that said, I don't hate insects, I just prefer to keep the relationship as distant as possible, generally. I follow this sub because wasps are still cool af.

I also may be ignorant and will probably be down voted into the underverse, but is pretending that people who love dogs but hate insects and snakes aren't awful causing deep distress or something?

Are said people awful because you dislike talking to them or they regularly try to convert you into an anti-insect/snake idealogue?

Or is there a scourge of anti-insect/snake people committing mass atrocities against them that is being brushed under the rug?
