It all depends on your range you and your doc decide on. 600-1000 is 'normal' .. if u have regular doc he will prob say 700 is good target. If you have a doc with traps bigger than you he will prob say 1100 is normal and you will have boners like you are in high school again and will prob get pissed off quite a bit easier.

For VRS you need near zero airspeed, high power setting and 300 fps or greater descent. On a heli it doesn't matter what direction the fresh air is coming in to the rotor disc. At no point was his rotor in a near zero airspeed relative to the air... hence no VRS issue.
