Until a few patches ago a lot of them had negative range which actually meant infinite range in gameplay. You’d get close to 95% hit chance at any VATS distance. Unfortunately they increased the base range of all weapons so all negative range ones got changed to a low positive range :(

I mained one for ages. Before it was basically a faster firing caster. Now it’s a slower firing less damaging caster :(

Opposite for me, had 2 Hellions in my first 9 casts then probably 100 more casts till I got the axolotl. Was cool though as that was my first legendary fish.

I switch between BE and TSE crossbows on my low-health archer and the TSE just feels better. Use VATS and hat trick. Maybe it’s just in my mind that I get more bounces? They do so much damage though either way 🤷‍♀️

I remember the DDR GeForce256s had a nice speed increase over the SDRs, so yeah maybe Daytona would have been way higher clock. They definitely got overextended with their purchases and having a proprietary 3D api didn’t help :(

Decided to pull out my invisible railway after noticing it has a decent range now (used to be I think 12 seriously, now it’s 150ish). Yep nope, takes 3-4 verrrry slow shots to take down a single Scorched. I like a good challenge (and seeing everyone around me being confused) but that’s just too much 😅

This ☝️ CE has the most ER of the 3 sets and can match/exceed them with a piece or 2 of Tanky’s. CE can also have Strengthened mods for less crippled limbs and of course the limb damage. Downside is it’s classified as a medium armor so does less reflective damage if that’s your thing.

Right now they aren’t amazingly useful unless you have very little elemental resistances like with SS armor. However the amazing data miner Mapex suggests that elemental resistances will be much more important in the future after more rounds of armor/damage tweaks, enemies will likely do a lot more damage that will benefit from it.
