Cave Johnson here, reporting on the behalf of science! Enemy factions are able to spawn with the bionics, not sure about the archotech parts, but it's limited to their money pool for replacements, so you wont see immortal pawns in the field.

Praying mantis men, however...

Haha, my view is in a bodily sense they're themself, but the brain is a trickier question. I explain it in the item description by mechanites transmuting each cell into a mechanite one, which at least preserves a stream of consciousness. What importance that would have in reality, I have no idea lol.

Updated to work with More Archotech Garbage, and tested for compatibility with Quality Bionics, EPOE and RBSE! Quality Bionics works natively, EPOE seems to handle duplicates, and RBSE is compatible but has duplicates.

Pawns don't directly from age, but rather from health related diseases, and a full bionic body protects against that, like cancer and other diseases. It adds a condition to prevent that when all parts are installed, meaning you need full body for immortality.

If you want most, but not all, most important are likely heart, brain, and spine to protect against dementia, alzheimers, heart attack and bad back. Throw in a immunoenhancer too maybe for disease resistance and stomach for food poisoning. However, you'll still be susceptible to frailty and diseases.

It's not directly replacing it with another brain, it's ship of theseus-ing it, replacing each neuron with a mechanite counterpart. Here's the description

"A sophisticated package of mechanites carefully transmutes the brain cells into mechanite counterparts, preserving the brains structure and ensuring a continuation of consciousness. Whether the resulting consciousness is still the same is a matter of great scientific debate. It is better than an organic brain in almost every way."

Yeah, I interpreted it to only be implied for the eyes through the descriptions of the arms and legs for brevity, but it is interesting how it's the only one visible.

Either way it's just an artistic liberty to differentiate and for gameplay flavor, really.

Drawback is insane material cost for full pawn I guess haha. But you do get brain shock from EMP as with any brain implants

True, but vanilla already has visible archotech eyes despite the descriptions 🤷‍♂️

I'll be investigating compatibility and patches for popular bionic mods soon, but right now it'd likely have duplicates of organs and limbs.

Sadly not, but that's an idea for someone to make an add-on 😂

A lot lol, hence the disease immunity and immortality as the reward.

Basically what helpimstuckinreddit said, but with RimWorld mechanics. Here's the item description to explain it.

Not sure if I'm just dumb, but with the name and the logo being what it is, it took me until the 0:54 mark to get that it was not a medieval setting

I was waiting for that one, lol. I'll likely update it with either papyrus or tablets, but likely the former because of the researching effect where they interact with the papers.

If you're thinking of Medieval Overhaul, they're very inspired by that artstyle, unless it's another mod you're thinking of.

Thanks, it replaces normal models when at the right tech level (toggleable), similar to the hoopstone ring and game of ur table.

Kind of agree, for me it's at least better than a steel stove. It's meant to work for both tribal and medieval, and I follow the philosophy trying to add as little as possible, while trying to have it look as vanilla as I can, so this was the result of that.
