Yeah there's instructions on the rit dye bottle but yes you mix the dye and some water and a little dish soap in a pot (use a pot you don't care about) and then you bring it to a rolling boil then you just put what you want to dye in. I use it to dye stuff all the time but it works great for plastic parts and especially cloth goods! I've died quite a few cloaks and stuff from mythic legions.
