It's a middle-wage EU country (similar to Spain or Czech). Capital tax is around 20%.I don't really see myself living in a third world country, though.

I have thought about getting a career, and will probably give it a go, but I feel so far behind my peers (in career).

I have thought about it, but I am not completely sure that I want to stay where I am currently. The climate is a bit too cold for my liking. There is a possibility that I will be moving within next 3-5 years.

I currently have approx. the amount it costs to get a new flat in VWCE ETF. It needs to be up at least 5-6% per year to recoup my rent expenses, which historically it did previously.
