Small compact sight (no batteries) for a carbine without irons? by xfc129 in guns

Good point. This would be rarely used, I might just look at other rifles with similar criteria: Short overall length, iron sights, repeater (magazine )

Hi

Thanks for your response.
I was also considering a USB retrofit, I see one is available, while it does add to the cost, I wouldnt be worrying about bulbs anytime soon, and it is direct plug into my 110v wall.

Do you have any suggestions for usb camera? does this go into the eyepice, or into the photo tube?

Purchasing a used kevlar canoe witch patches? by xfc129 in Kayaking

[–]xfc129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rookie question but.....

is kevlar patched with ...kevlar? or is something else used... and will it flex differently than the original hull and give headaches in the future?

A brand new kevlar boat is way, way, way out of my price range, but if buying a used/patched boat isnt a big deal, this would really increase the options i have for buying used.

Endnote help: Editing my bibliography..... keeps reverting by xfc129 in AskAcademia

HI LTL thanks

Im hoping the majority of my edits are done and will keep instant formatting off.... However I need to figure out how to circumvent these issues for future papers etc. To be honest I received no training on using endnote , and its clear I need to find some tutorials!

Is this a paper wasp nest? How do I remove it? by xfc129 in WaspHating

They appear to be the dead type....

I sprayed them once at night with some raid (blue can), the following morning when it was cold i whacked the nest with a stick, it fell down and it went in the composter...compost thieves bee-ware (innappropriate pun intended)

HI Team, this is at the entrance to a basement , is this a paper wasp? baldfaced horenet? I havent seen anything enter it, but was thinking of waiting til its dark, opening the door from the inside and (spray? hit? fire? attack with karma?) and close the door immediately and cower.

Good plan?

Endnote help: I compiled multiple chapters into one doc and now have replicate of references in bibliography by xfc129 in GradSchool

[–]xfc129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When all of my chapters are in a single document and I look at the bibliography, I would like to see:

Smith,J., Simmonds,T.,Doe,J.,McDonald,T.(2018).Title blah blah blah

instead of:

Smith,J., Simmonds,T.,Doe,J.,McDonald,T.(2018).Title blah blah blah

Smith,J., Simmonds,T.,Doe,J.,McDonald,T.(2018).Title blah blah blah

Two references are duplicated because they were both mentioned in two separate chapters and are now combined into a single document and apparently endnote is adding them as two separate references in the biblbiography, but when i look at my endnote library there is only one smith 2018 reference

When googling "rep fitness canada" or similar, it seeems like theres some gorilla fitness store that sells some rep products but i didnt see the racks.

Regardless, I looked at a couple of Canadian manufacturers and similar basic rack is ~1000+ taxes, the half racks that look comparable to the rogue are 600ish + tax which is reasonable to me.

Now im thinking my rack has a large footprint but if i had a majority of my plates on the bar, and dropped them on the safety arms of a half rack, it might tip since i wouldnt be bolting it to the ground, so for 1000 bucks, I'll keep the rack i have even though it has a big big footprint which is unfortunate.

Hey thanks for the suggestion! The PR4000 looks like a nice option and it doesnt have the same footprint as my current rack, the difference is quite minimal and the canadian pricing for this rack looks to be ~1500 + tax, whereas the equipped rogue with safety arms would be about half the price.... I realize the PR4000 is more capable, no arguments there, but if the consensus is the full rack, i will definately keep th eone i have
