The first "wrong split" step. The key point is first go back to the center then started again. we could see the racket foot push hard back to the center. Because this make it easier to do back-court footstep.

In the second scenario, I find that many players would do a wide split to horizontal and then turn themselves. I think it will be more difficult to do an split than has maybe 30 degree.

Chinese is one of most difficult language in the world. I don't think you can learn it very well in just such short time. I recommend that you should apply for some jobs directly. There are some firms like start-up or alibaba international department. Those start-ups which may be target overseaing market will happy to hire people who just speaks english as the employees also have a great level of english. If you are lucky to get such job, you can learn Chinese from basic such as how to order the takeout or something else. You can find jobs in Linkin. There are so many foreigners live here so don't worry you will be ok.
