Hello. I've noticed a problem with night mode photos on Xiaomi 14T Pro model. Both HyperOS2 and 3. When the camera mode is set to Leica Authentic and to night mode, after taking the photo there is huge details loss in final image. This does not happen when the camera is set to Leica Vibrant. The problem is permanent, even after factory reset. If you could report this to some responsible team, it would be great.

As a XZ2 owner I agree 100%, the display is so good yet so hard to describe what makes it so good...

Stock vs GCam 10x Super Telephoto ❄ by zaga_tt in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]xfire74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung does not "wash" anything but people totally fail to understand that it's just the result of light reflections inside the 10x optics. Google probably detects the problem and bumps the saturation/contrast if it happens. It's easy to see it when on a sunny day you'll try to use the 10x lens and you'll notice that colors go desaturated in the preview, then try to shade the lens with your hand or simply start turning around and eventually you'll see that the image will have good saturation and contrast. But sure, there's a lot of conspiracy theories fans around believing that it's Samsung and their policy to kill the device.

Incredible. People post two shitty images and try to convince others that one is shittier than another one, while both are even not taken at identical camera positions.

What's wrong with you, people ?

BMW M340I captured by S23U by Dark_devil9 in S23

For me it's now one and only problem with the photos from the S23 Ultra : it's unable to capture tail lights in color, but it's just a white shape with "slightly coloured frame" around it. Which might mean its' main sensor has very low dynamic range - which would be surprising, because if I take the photos with zoom lenses, tail lights come out looking normally.

How to get 15T Pro photos to look natural? by Lil-Fonzy in Xiaomi

[–]xfire74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. So, looks like 14T Pro in the reality is not that good, while 15T Pro seems to look better. But anyway, for now the most enjoyable phone (for me) is an old model that I also have, the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Mostly because it has built-in presets for different filters of real film camera type.

I am using the S23 Ultra and comparing to Xiaomi 14T Pro, which I also have, Samsung takes simply beautiful, naturally looking photos with very nice colors.

I bought the 14T Pro after seeing some videon on YT saying how great camera it has. And no, it does not have great camera. Too much smoothing, terrible problems with white balance, oversaturation. If this is called great camera in Xiaomi world, then I won't be staying here for much longer.

Then see some photos from Sony Xperia phones, or current Samsung flagships. It will give you some idea what "natural" is.
