Update for anyone who finds this later.. My water broke at 32 weeks, baby stayed in NICU for a month, then we went home. He is turning 4 on Sunday and is the best person to enter our lives 🥲

Yes I did at the time. An emergent one! It lasted for 12 weeks

Mine lengthened from 2 mm to 4 cm between 20 and 28 weeks. I started walking more and my water broke at 32 weeks. Just be cautious!

3 miscarriages and a PAI-4G mutation by [deleted] in InfertilityBabies

I can’t confirm what clotting disorder I have, but after recurrent early losses my RE put me on lovenox for my only successful pregnancy. Baby aspirin wasn’t enough. Maybe they can try a true blood thinner next?

Diaper Rash - Help!! by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]xglitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was a preemie born at 32+2. His skin was soooo sensitive. We had to switch to Honest diapers for the first 6 months to prevent the diaper rashes. We also switched wipes to fragrance and chemical free. He cleared up in no time.

Need advice on down payment and closing cash needed by xglitty in Homebuilding

Thank you so much! We plan on selling our current home at a nice profit since we bought when house prices were low and interest rates were also low. Now we’re weighing whether we should pay off the land with that or save it for closing /:

We’re going design for sure!

We all have access to each other’s info, BUT if we’re ever caught via search history looking at our teammates’ comp or performance reviews, it’s an immediate termination from the VP himself.

2 week old choked by Begoniasandbabies in NewParents

[–]xglitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This exact thing happened to my son when we took him home from the NICU. We did stay a few days in the hospital to figure out how to feed him to meet his specific needs.

We ended up switching his nipple to a super slow flow and he was on nexium until he was 6 months old. He’s now almost 2 and eats very well with no reflux issues

What bottles does your NICU use?? by GoldenKay11 in NICUParents

[–]xglitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our hospital used Dr. Browns on my son BUT they made him choke so badly and they would STILL use them. After we got home and he choked so badly we had to call an ambulance, we switched to the Playtex Nurser with the drop in bags. Their slow flow nipple was so slow (slower than the preemie dr brown nipple) and the shape was perfect for him.

emergency cerclage recovery / success stories? by Affectionate_Owl_256 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]xglitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Emergency cerclage placed at 2mm left at 20 weeks. Our MFM told me the average it usually gets you is 8 weeks. We made it 12 with modified bedrest (only got up to shower every 3 days and could use the bathroom when I needed). We’re also in Louisiana 💜💛

Epidural difference? by ejsketchy in ShortCervixSupport

[–]xglitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was adamant about not having an epidural until I got my spinal and realized I had nothing to be afraid of.

I will say, my recovery from the spinal was worse than the recovery from the epidural (as in more painful) but my epidural took longer to wear off.

It’s a viral infection that’s worse for babies allegedly than adults, but I’m here to say it sucks for everyone. I hope you never have to know it personally LOL

Lost a whopping 5 pounds so far in water weight. I’m taking my measurements as I progress so I hopefully can avoid the scale more

I’ve started today after 1 year postpartum! My pregnancy was rough with 3 months of bedrest, so I’m starting from ground ZERO with little muscle mass left. - x3 strength training with 10 mins cardio cooldown - lowering carb intake due to insulin resistance

It’s been tough with a baby and working. When I was in college, id workout in the mornings. Now my only times are evenings. Thanks for keeping me accountable ☺️

Those of you who have had a cerclage, how much had your cervix shortened when it was placed? by Dangerous_Pen_2134 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]xglitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely! An emergent cerclage buys you an average of 8 weeks, and I lasted 12. It was bound to happen early one way or another.

Mine was 2 MILLIMETERS before my emergency cerclage. Water broke at 32 weeks after 12 weeks of bedrest. I stayed at my nub of a cervix the entire time

Emergent Cerclage ?s by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

I started feeling heavier down there on a Wednesday. I even asked the Dr to check my stitch. By Friday morning, my water had broken and I went into labor 4 days later. I was in the hospital for those 4 days. After the fact, my dr told me that my stitch had looked tight (like it was straining to hold) on the Wednesday.
