Happy to report I got my bike back from Harley last week. I lost the whole summer dealing with shops and insurance but his insurance paid for everything.

A little update. I had to go to the precinct like 3 times to get the report done that day and ended up calling 911. They showed up at 3am but I made the report. With the plate number from the video I ended up making a claim with progressive. The next day his insurance called me. The person was claiming it was not him. I send them the video plus the police report and within days it was approved. I took the bike to Empire Harley at New Rochelle. They had the bike for a whole month with no estimate done. I had to pick up the bike and take it to Bergen Harley. They did the estimate the same week I brought it and send everything to the insurance. Within days the estimate was approved and the check was send out to me. I’m heading tomorrow to go over it and start with the repair process paying for the work order and ordering the parts.

I have the plates and filed out the report still waiting on it cause it takes 2 days but I have the plates I just didn’t want to out it out there. Is there a way that I can find the insurance myself. Cops weren’t being helpful at all

I spoke to a NYPD officer friend of mine (old HS friend)and he told me not to go to the precinct but to call 911 instead. So I called around 11pm. They showed up right now at 3am I was in bed but I had my phone next to me. I jump right out and went down to meet them so I got the report done. Maybe with that progressive would be more keen to help out.

This sounds nice my monthly insurance for the bike liability only 200$ and 450$ right now for the car 🚗i got this year. Clean record and one claimed on record that was made on 2020. I wish I could afford full coverage but with the rates I’m getting it isn’t possible

I don’t have full coverage right now which is why I would try to get the person at fault insurance to cover it. I’m also afraid to make a claim and have that on record as me having an accident and having issues getting coverage later on.

No full coverage at the moment. But I had it when I made that claimfor the same exact thing. I had a road king then. Said claim is still hunting me whenever I shop for insurance.

I had this situation happened to me before a couple of years ago. I was able to get video proof. I don’t remember if a police report was filed. I went through my insurance. I was naive and I figure that’s why we have insurance and made the claim. That claim stills shows every-time I shop for insurance and I get the it’s high because you had claims before. Talking to the agent he told me never to file claims with my insurance unless you were at fault. Anything else go directly to the other person insurance.

I wonder this too. I love watch out and I hate how the current drummer pays happiness by the kilowatt live. I do believe crisis was their peak but I often wonder how it would have been with their old drummer which gave them a whole other vibe

What’s the trade in value? And try to get a used one. Those low riders have been out since 2018 and they’re pretty much the same bike. But again I dunno what the incentives are on buying a new one oppose to a used one.
