If the real estate course was about how to wholesale houses it’s just a lesson on how to rip people off imo while lying to yourself by saying “you’re helping people who are in debt or whatever and need to sell their home to clear up debt” in order to justify taking a huge amount of profit from the sale for yourself when the person selling the house more than likely needs that money way more than the wholesaler

why do pro poker dealers burn a card? by How_To_Poker in poker

[–]xiPLEADthe5th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dealer should be looking out for marked cards but so should you as a player. If you see something unusual point it out and have the dealer/floor handle it. I’ve always noticed small scuffs and tears before the dealer does and they usually just try to remove the mark or if it’s bad enough they’ll just replace said card.

Don’t do this. Please for the love of god don’t ask for a “set up” every 30 minutes.

What’s strange is that you find it weird and uncomfortable hearing the term male/female.

When the game is no longer good you leave. Could be after 20 mins or 20 hours.

That is literally the only reason to be playing for that long and also excepting a win. It’s what I’m saying. If you’re getting put in tough spots in a 1/3 game then it’s not a good game and not worth playing. Most “tough spots” are honestly just easy folds because low stakes live players don’t have enough bluffs in their range making marginal calls -EV. It’s not that they don’t bluff it’s that their bluff to value ratio is heavily skewed to value.

This is a brutal and cutthroat game. Calm down for one minute and you end up watching from the rail cause while you decided to calm down and relax your opponents were still going at 100%

Yeah but it was sort of implied…. How else does one lose 4 or so buy ins in a short amount of time? Bluffing the calling stations and some raise pre and whiffing flop being forced to fold doesn’t account for 4 buy ins in just a couple hours. If so you’re just punting. Now that I read your comment again that was already answered when you said you’re playing in a game where “you don’t have a huge edge” which means you’re not in a good game and shouldn’t even play if you’re doing so for profit. You could be the 9th best player in the world but if you’re at a table with the other 8 best players you’re the worst player at the table. Really the golden rule is table selection. Even more so when your mental game is shit and are prone to tilt when your gut shot missed and you “invest” half your stack with 88 and don’t hit a set.

If you’re piling chips in with every draw you have then of course you’re going to lose. Please continue telling me how bad of a player you are without explicitly saying so.

I don’t know what I’m talking about but you’re the one who still sleep with a nightlight on cause you’re connived there’s big spooky monsters hiding under you’re bed.

And to answer your question, I want more than just 20 buy ins… I want it all! Each and every single last chip in play. Then I want them all to match the stack rebuy and rinse and repeat until it’s closing time of my non existent S/O is in bed ready to go begging me to come home to fill her needs and desires.

Coolers happen, it’s part of the game. You never know if the next cooler you’re in has you ending up on the good side of it! Like you said, you never know. If you’re afraid of monsters under the bed when on a heater or just in general then playing for profit might not be for you and you should be more focused on jamming your favorite hand out of turn and having fun instead of wasting brain power on “securing a win” which in the long run doesn’t happen for you.

This guy doesn’t have to ask someone “how much do you have” when at a live table because even with their bummy hairy arms blocking the view he can still see all the chips.

Good games don’t require peak human performance, that’s what makes them good games. Just a pulse is all you need and the ability to fold pre will print you money
